The mystery friendship bracelets made everyone feel included. \nWe had such a great November between the turkeys turning out so cute and bouncing personalities which were both so fun. Bouncing Personalities is a character counts contest and I must say, your students rose to the occasion! They loved waiting to see who won and even cheered on the winners. They chose a bouncy ball for their hard work and good character. \nCongratulations to SBE ELC students! Good Job! December will be a Candy Cane Contest with a collaboration mural on the bulletin board to go along with our contest. \nOur ELC Academic Hour with STEAM on Wednesday is working out so great! The pumpkin slime had students wanting to stay, when their parents came to pick them up. Ms .Stephanie and Ms. Keylin already have great plans for 2024 too! This is a“Win-Win-Win” all around. We love working and seeing the students this excited about ELC. \nSchool and ELC Holiday closures and ELC full days for november, December and January are listed below: \n● November 20-24-Thanksgiving Break-School and ELC Closed \n● December 21 –January 1, 2024 School and ELC Closed \n● January 2 & January 3, 2024 Teacher Workdays-ELC Full Day Care Available-at Sawgrass Bay \n● January 4-Return to classes and ELC regular schedule \n● January 15-No School ELC Closed-Martin Luther King Jr. Day \nFULL DAY ELC We will have our signup sheet available for the 2 ELC Full Days listed above starting the 1st of December. You must sign up in advance so that appropriate staff can be scheduled. \nStudents attending on the full day will need to eat breakfast at home or bring a morning snack and bring a lunch, a snack and drinks for the day from home. Please do not send soda or candy and all personal toys and electronics must be left home. \nThis is the time of the year when our mornings start off cool and the afternoons end up being much warmer. Many jackets, coats and sweaters get left behind. Please make sure that all outerwear items are marked with your student’s name so we can quickly find the owner when items are left behind. If your student has lost a water bottle or any apparel, please have them check the lost and found inside the cafeteria. \n2023 ELC Tax Receipts will be available after Winter Break. There will be a request sheet that you must sign to get a copy of the information when we return on January 4. Only 1 copy per family will be provided. \nOur staff wishes each and every ELC family the happiest of holiday seasons and a healthy and prosperous new year. Ms. \nLisa, Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Marisol.
