To market on purpose withpurpose and handle whatever 2021 brings. \nHere’s how you can start marketing with purpose before March. \n# Introduction to Marketing Plans\n\nThere are so many parts to a marketing plan,it’s easy to get them all tangled up. It’s hardto wrap your mind around all of them andmake sure you’ve done enough, coveredeverything, and/or not done too much. \nBig picture: I think of a marketing plan as aflowchart (flip to the next page for a chartexample) . It starts big at the top with Why,and Who and then breaks into smaller, supplemental parts with What & Where,When, How, Budget and Outcomes. Aftergoing through all those pieces anddocumenting each part, it’s probably notrealistic to house your entire marketing planin a flowchart. \nWhen we plan a client’s marketing, we use aseries of documents, processes andcalendars to keep the information organizedand complete each activity on time. I wish itcould all be in a simple flow chart, but littleboxes with one word on each line doesn’treally seem all that functional. I do find thatthe flow chart image serves as a good guidefor people (including myself) to connect withwhat they’re trying to produce. \nWhether you start in a flowchartor build it out in separatedocuments, all marketing plansneed to have at least these seventhings: \n1. Why – Your goal defining what you hope toachieve from your marketing activities. \n2. Who – This has two parts: \nPart 1 details your target audience, explainingwho you plan on reaching with yourmarketing. \nPart 2 outlines your brand message, who youare and how you represent yourself in all ofyour marketing activities. \n3. What & Where – These are the activities youplan to do and where you will do them. \n4. When – The deadlines for each activity. \n5. How – Each activity will have two ‘Hows’: thedeliverables — what you need to do theactivity andthe creative — andthe ideas tomake the deliverables connect with youraudience. \n6. Budget – The time and money to completeeach activity in your plan. \n7. Analysis – How often you’ll review youroutcomes, the metrics you’ll review and otherindicators of a successful plan. \n| P R E S E N T E D B Y |\n| --- |\n| www.mayecreate.com | info@mayecreate.com | @mayecreate |\n\nYou can do this!
