I live in Columbus, Ohio, and I currently attend Finland Middle School in 8th grade. It is a great honor for me to be selected by my teachers as a candidate for membership in the National Junior Honor Society. Being selected provides me with an excellent opportunity to be part of NJHS and share my leadership skills. The four pillars of NJHS, leadership, character, scholarship, and service, are the qualities that guide me in my daily activities. Combined with honesty, hard work, trustworthiness, caring, and fairness, these qualities can help me become a valuable member. \nMy scholarship skill is demonstrated by my schoolwork reports and the comments from my teachers. My good grades are the result of how I organize my time and make sure that I finish my homework every day. My favorite subjects are mathematics, music, and science. My priority is to put a lot of effort into all my schoolwork. I listen to my teachers’ advice and instructions, and this has enabled me to avoid trouble with my teachers, which allows me to attend all lessons. \nApart from my good academic grades, I am also a member ofmy school’s student council. This demonstrates that my teachers and students have seen my leadership skills and that I use them for the benefit of all those around me. I also love music, and I am a member of a jazz band where Iam the leader. We spend a lot of time practicing together, and I have been able to make all band members happy by involving them when we make decisions for the band, such as when our next meeting will be. Due to my hard work in the band, I have been invited to be part of the honor band at Ohio State University. I believe these two examples help me demonstrate my leadership skills. \n2026 Copyright ©, EssayPro ® All rights reserved \nDISCLAIMER: This sample is for reference purposes only. Each year, I work 25 hours by volunteering at the Columbus Park of Roses and Herb Garden. I love the environment, and by offering my services, I ensure that the park is kept well for the benefit of the people who visit there. \nI believe that I have demonstrated how the four pillars of NJHS are part of my qualities. My grades show my dedication and personal qualities, which will enable me to serve and meet all expectations of NJHS. \n2026 Copyright ©, EssayPro ® All rights reserved \nDISCLAIMER: This sample is for reference purposes only.
