Science learning is not only mastering a collection of knowledge, but also a discovery process that stimulates students to be actively involved in it. There are several things that teachers can use in bridging learning including interesting learning models. That way the teacher applies the mind mapping learning model to grade 4 elementary school science subjects so that learning is more fun and not monotonous. The mind mapping learning model is a learning model by carrying out note-taking activities to make it easier to remember various information in an interesting way, which is equipped with pictures, colors and has the principle of summarizing subject matter in anon-linear but branching way of learning. This is in accordance with the way the human brain works naturally. The mind mapping learning model is effectively used in science learning in grade IV Elementary Schools and can be used as motivation by teachers to present material as interesting and innovative as possible, as well as creative.\u003Cbr>Keywords: Mind Mapping Model, 4th grade, Science Learning\u003Cbr>Abstrak\u003Cbr>Pembelajaran merupakan ujung tombak dari proses pendidikan dalam sebuah lembaga pendidikan. Pembelajaran IPA bukan hanya penguasaan kumpulan pengetahuan saja, tetapi juga merupakan suatu proses penemuan yang merangsang siswa untuk aktif terlibat didalamnya. Ada beberapa hal yang dapat digunakan guru dalam menjembatani pembelajarandiantaranya model pembelajaran yang menarik. Dengan begitu guru menerapkan model pembelajaran mind mapping pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas 4 Sekolah Dasar supayapembelajaran lebih menyenangkan dan tidak monoton. Model pembelajaran mind mapping merupakan model pembelajaran dengan melakukan kegiatan mencatat untuk memudahkan mengingat berbagai informasi dengan cara yang menarik yaitu dilengkapi dengan gambar, warna dan memiliki prinsip merangkum materi pelajaran dengan cara belajar yang tidak liniertapi bercabang. Hal ini sesuai dengan cara kerja otak manusia secara alami. Pembelajaran yaitu suatu perubahan dalam pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap serta kriteria bagi pembelajaran (Dadri, et al, 2019) . Sedangkan menurut Mujtahidin (2017: 4) mengemukakan bahwa pembelajaran merupakan proses interaksi yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan peserta didik dengan menggunakan berbagai sumber belajar sebagai bahan kajian. Pembelajaran mengandung arti bahwa adanya kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM) .  \nSains dalam hal ini diartikan sebagai ilmu pengetahuan alam, berasal dari bahasa Inggris, yaitu science yang berarti pengetahuan. Sedangkan menurut bahasa Latin, sains berasal dari kata scientia yang berarti ”saya tahu”. Menurut Oxford Dictionary, definisi sains adalah the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
