released for the Netherlands related to submission of VAT and ICP declaration in XBRL format via Digipoort services. \nThe aim of the document is to provide Dutch companies and other stakeholders with the description of the functionality, setup overview, and main steps for the reports creation and filing to the authority. \nThis document contains also general information about SBR program and requirements for direct submission via Digipoort services. \nStandard Business Reporting overview \nStandard Business Reporting (SBR) is the international term for government initiatives that aim to simplify business-to-government information interchange, therefore reducing the administrative burden for companies. \nIn the SBR program, government parties and the market work together to simplify the composition and exchange of (financial) reports. The aim of the SBR program is to reduce the amount of work that businesses have to do when compiling and delivering compulsory reports to public authorities. In consultation with several chain partners, including the Chamber of Commerce, the SBR has compiled the Dutch Taxonomy (NT), which allows information exchange within the financial chain of accountability. This taxonomy makes it easier for businesses to fulfil their obligations to provide information that arise from the Annual Accounts Act and the tax and statistics legislation. Widespread regulation has taken place in the Dutch Taxonomy that has removed duplications, and differences in the data requested from businesses. The Dutch Taxonomy contributes to far-reaching semantic and syntactic standardization of data definitions. \nThe Dutch Tax administration is in the process of the phased implementation of Standard Business Reporting (SBR) that is directly linked to Digipoort. This implies the (phased) replacement of the current BAPI-channel for delivering declarations towards using Digipoort for that in the coming years. \n\n| Declaration | BAPI | SBR/Digipoort |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| | | |\n| VAT declarations / ICP reports until Jan 1st 2014 | x | x |\n| VAT declarations / ICP reports as of Jan 1st 2014 | | x |\n\nYou can refer to the official web portal to learn more details on Standard Business Reporting Program: \n[http://www.sbr-nl.nl/](http://www.sbr-nl.nl/) \nDutch Taxonomy overview \nThe Dutch Tax authority requires submission of VAT and ICP reports to the authority in XBRL format, and particularly in accordance with Dutch taxonomy (NL) . \nXBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) is a freely available and global standard for exchanging business information.
