Chairman Kidd welcomed everyone then called the meeting to order and asked for a roll call. Present were: Brandon Kidd, Deborah Gibson, Rhonda Armijo, Nelda Gilreath and Superintendent Cash. Absent from the meeting were: Roxanne Shook. Approve Monthly Financial Report for January 31, 2016  \nAt this time, Mr. Jason Creekmore shared with the Board that this is a grant application with Toyota and will be sponsored with Whitley City Elementary School and Pine Knot Primary School for $6,000 . This will cover ages from Birth to 5 years of age. There will be six sessions, half will be for Whitley City Elementary and half will be for Pine Knot Primary Schools. The grant will be used for food, prizes and Teacher stipends. Superintendent Cash shared that this is a Kindergarten readiness program. This will help children be more prepared when entering Kindergarten.  \nAPPROVE UNITED WAY BORN LEARNING ACADMEY GRANT APPLICATION-\\#9852  \nA motion was made by Mr. Brandon Kidd and a second by Ms. Deborah Gibson to approve the United Way Born Learning Academy Grant Application. Members voted as follows:  \nShook – Absent; Gilreath – AYE; Armijo – AYE; Gibson – AYE; Kidd – AYE  \nAt the January 14th board meeting, Phillip Hunt with Liberty Mutual Insurance (the Board's Property and Liability Insurance Carrier) shared with the Board the 2015 Property Appraisal Analysis for the school district's property valued at over $1 million. This appraisal shows the reconstruction cost of the six schools needed to be built at this time and if the buildings are insured for the correct amount.
