As we approach the 78th anniversary of this proud and impactful Program, I want to personally thank each of you—Marines, Sailors, and volunteers – for taking on the responsibility of bringing happiness and joy to children across the nation this holiday season. \nTo our first-year Coordinators: Welcome aboard! You are now part of a mission that stretches across more than 800 communities and impacts millions of children. You won’t be alone—your Regional Campaign Manager is here to support you, and you’ll find no shortage of experienced Coordinators across the country willing to share what works (and what doesn’t) . Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions will serve you well. Don’t be afraid to lean in – we’re glad you’re here. \nTo our returning Coordinators: You’ve seen the hustle of the warehouse, navigated the curveballs ofthe toy supply chain, and fielded every question from eager donors to stressed-out parents. You’ve also seen what makes this Program special: the joy on a child’s face and the gratitude from a struggling family. That’s what brings us back each year. \nThis year’s SOP has been refined for clarity and reinforced in key areas, but the core remains consistent: mission focus, fiscal accountability, and professional execution. Don’t let familiarity breed complacency. Read the SOP thoroughly – and if something seems like a gray area, reach out early to your Regional Campaign Manager. Our credibility and success depend on your attention to detail. \nA few reminders as we kick off: \n• This isn’t your personal credit card mission. No Coordinator – military or civilian – is authorized to spend personal funds for campaign expenses. The purchase card is your tool. Use it, document it, and follow the process. \n• Supplemental toys are not guaranteed. If your campaign is fully capable of meeting local demand, we’ll prioritize support where it’s most needed. That’s not punishment – it’s stewardship i.e., spending Other People Money (OPM) judiciously. \n• We don’t sell or trade hope. If you receive high-value items – video game consoles, premium toys, bikes – make a plan to distribute them fairly. No raffles, no exchanges. These gifts were donated to be given, not leveraged. \n• The After-Action Report (AAR) is due Thursday, 15 January 2026. Complete, accurate, and on-time submission is not optional – it’s essential. Start early and don’t wait until January to begin tracking. The Foundation Staff and veteran Coordinators are ready to assist! \nThe fall will arrive faster than we think, and with it, our Annual Coordinator Training Conference – back again this year in St. Louis. I hope to see many of you there as we exchange best practices and prepare to meet another season head-on. \nThis Program continues to thrive because of your commitment, professionalism, and heart. Thank you for standing the watch again this year. \nLet’s make 2025 our strongest campaign yet! \nSemper Fidelis, \nDavid Cooper \nVice President, Operations \nSTANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES \nFOR LOCAL TOYS FOR TOTS CAMPAIGNS \nTABLE OF CONTENTS \nSECTION I---PURPOSE ............................................................................................... 1 \n1.1 Overall Purpose of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) ................. 1 \n1.2 Coordinator Goals .................................................................................... 1 \n1.3 Campaign Direction and Management................................................... 1 \n1.4 Campaign Support.................................................................................... 1 \n1.5 SOP Improvement .................................................................................... 3 \nSECTION II---PROGRAM ORGANIZATIONS AND RESP","cbCaiqVrIkl6Ryb9","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiqVrIkl6Ryb9","pdf",2449810,144,"English","# Section I---Purpose\n## 1.1 Overall Purpose of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)\n## 1.2 Coordinator Goals\n## 1.3 Campaign Direction and Management\n## 1.4 Campaign Support\n## 1.5 SOP Improvement\n# Section II---Program Organizations and Responsibilities\n## 2.1 Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps (HQMC)\n## 2.2 Marine Forces Reserve (MFR)\n## 2.3 Marine Toys for Tots Foundation (MTFTF)\n## 2.4 Marine Corps Reserve Units\n## 2.5 Local Community Organizations (LCO’s)\n## 2.6 The Marine Corps League (MCL)\n# Section III---Directives for Marine TFT Program\n## 3.1 Key Documents\n## 3.2 MCO 5726.14F – U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program\n## 3.3 ForO 5000-24.2 – Policy for the Conduct of the Annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program\n## 3.4 Memorandum of Understanding Between Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Toys for Tots Foundation\n## 3.5 Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Local Toys for Tots Campaigns\n## 3.6 Foundation Memorandums\n# Section IV---Marine Toys for Tots Foundation (MTFTF) Programs and Support\n## 4.1 Mission\n## 4.2 Supplemental Toy Program\n## 4.3 Gift-In-Kind","[{\"question\":\"What is the overall purpose of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for local Toys for Tots campaigns?\",\"answer\":\"The SOP establishes mission-focused guidance, coordinator expectations, campaign direction and management, and campaign support.
