The researcher also observed the general operatives at work, and carried out some exit interviews to assess why people were leaving their positions. \nThe researcher also looked at alternative recruitment and selection processes the Manufacturing Company could use. \nFindings: The researcher found some issues with the current recruitment and selection process. The returned questionnaires clearly pointed out problems which the Manufacturing Company must address. The researcher gave some recommendations as to how the Manufacturing Company can improve their current process, and hopefully reduce their staff turnover. \nKeywords: Recruitment and Selection, Manufacturing, Job Analysis, Job Specification, Person Specification, Classic Trio, Application forms, Interviewing, References, Work samples, Assessment centres, Exit Interviews. \nDeclaration \nAcknowledgements \nThis dissertation, and the whole course has been one of the most challenging undertakings I have ever had to complete, and it is for that reason I would to take this opportunity to thank a number of people who have supported me throughout the course of this tough year. \nI would first like to thank my supervisor, Rachel Doherty, and all the staff of the National College of Ireland who offered me great assistance and support throughout my time at the College. \nI would also like to thank, Frank, the HR Manager of the company I did my research on, your time, help and guidance was greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. \nI would like to thank my close friends, my two sisters, Laura and Megan, and Hazel for your support throughout the year, your proofreading, and for allowing me somewhere to go to forget about it all when it was required. \nI would like to thank my close classmates, Stephen, Ste, Elaine, Rachelle and Jade for all your help and support throughout the year, a Masters is a hard thing to take on, but when you make new friendships as strong as ours it makes the whole experience a lot easier- “Started from the bottom now we’re here” \nFinally I would like to thank my parents for everything; you have been a source of constant drive throughout both my degree and especially this Masters. You have never left me wanting, and have always been there whenever I have needed anything. Without your support I would not, and could not have made it to here! \nTable of Contents \nChapter 1: Introduction ..............................................................................................................7 \n1.1 Motivation behind this study....................................................................................... 8 \n1.2 Broad outline of the study ...........................................................................................9 \n1.3 Brief overview of findings ............................................................","cbCaipcQof61qR5V","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipcQof61qR5V","pdf",970169,82,"English","# Chapter 1: Introduction\n## 1.1 Motivation behind this study\n## 1.2 Broad outline of the study\n## 1.3 Brief overview of findings\n# Chapter 2: Literature Review\n## 2.1 Introduction\n## 2.2 Recruitment and Selection\n## 2.3 Wastage/Labour Turnover\n## 2.4 Job Analysis and Design\n## 2.5 Competitive Advantage\n## 2.6 Classic Trio\n## 2.6.1 Application Forms/ C.V’s\n## 2.6.2 Interviews\n## 2.6.3 References\n## 2.7 Work Samples\n## 2.8 Assessment Centres\n## 2.9 Exit Interviews\n## 2.10 Literature Review Conclusion\n# Chapter 3: Aims and Objectives","[{\"question\":\"What is the main purpose of the dissertation?\",\"answer\":\"To evaluate the recruitment and selection process used by “Manufacturing Company X” and explore whether more advanced alternatives could reduce staff turnover.\"},{\"question\":\"How was data collected for the study?\",\"answer\":\"Questionnaires were distributed to recruiters and employees, general operatives were observed, and exit interviews were conducted to understand why people left.\"},{\"question\":\"What kinds of improvements does the dissertation propose?\",\"answer\":\"It identifies issues in the current recruitment and selection process, highlights problems indicated by returned questionnaires, and provides recommendations aimed at improving the process and reducing turnover.\"}]","Manufacturing Company X - Dissertation - Recruitment and Selection Evaluation for Reducing Staff Turnover | PDF",29]
