If any provision of this Plan conflicts with or violates the law and rules, the provisions of the law and rules will control, unless the plan provisions are more advantageous to the Covered Employee in which case the plan terms that are more advantageous will prevail.\nIf there are any changes, amendments, or regulatory clarifications to the provisions of the law and rules, then the plan will be administered consistent with the relevant changes, amendments, or clarifications and all claims practices will be updated to be in compliance with the new requirements.  The plan should be reviewed and updated at least annually.  Any material changes to this plan must be approved in advance by the Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave Program.\nThe Maine PFML Program may withdraw or revoke approval of this Plan for the reasons provided in the law or rules.  Those reasons include, but are not limited to:\nFailure to pay family leave benefits or medical benefits;\nFailure to pay family leave benefits or medical leave benefits timely and in a manner that is consistent with the law or rules;\nMisuse of private plan money;\nFailure to submit reports or comply with other requirements as required by rule; or\nFailure to comply with the law or rules adopted pursuant to the law.\nThe Benefits under this Plan are available to all Covered Employees working in Maine for the Employer.
