The FY 2025 Proposed Budget includes: \n􀁩 A 3% across-the-board increase for all full-time, part-time, and City Council Local Government Corporation (LGC) employees. \n􀁩 No increase in medical, dental, and vision premiums. \n􀁩 The continuation of salary compression adjustments aimed at recognizing tenure and experience. \nCivilian Compensation \nACROSS-THE-BOARD \nAll full-time, part-time, and City Council LGC employees will receive a 3% across-the-board increase. \nCOMPRESSION ADJUSTMENTS \nTo ensure employees are moving appropriately through their pay range based on experience and tenure, we will continue to implement salary compression adjustments in FY 2025. \nPay Plan A Employees \nLast year, all Pay Plan A job titles were reviewed for compression. For FY 2025, compression will continue to be addressed by: \n􀁩 Employees with 5-9 years of tenure (prior to October 1, 2024) in their current job title, who are not already at the midpoint of their pay range, will move to the point closest to the middle of their range. \n􀁩 Employees with 10+ years of tenure (prior to October 1, 2024) in their current job title, who are not already at the maximum of their pay range, will move to the maximum of their range. \nPay Plan B Employees \nLast year, 50% of Pay Plan B job titles were reviewed for compression. For FY 2025, the remaining 50% of job titles were reviewed. Compression will be addressed as follows: \n􀁩 Employees with 5-9 years of relevant experience (prior to October 1, 2024), who are not already at 25% of their pay range, will move to 25% of their range. \n􀁩 Employees with 10+ years of relevant experience (prior to October 1, 2024), who are not already at 50% of their pay range, will move to 50% of their range. \n􀁩 Employees in generically utilized job titles were surveyed earlier this year. Individuals in these job titles work in a variety of industries or specialties within the City. The survey data continues to be analyzed to ensure the compression adjustment recommendations appropriately value their experience. Any potential compression adjustments or other changes for these positions will be effective April 1 for eligible employees. \n􀁩 Relevant experience is defined as experience performing at, above, or one (1) level below the level of your current position. If your experience was at or above the level of your current position, you were given full credit for each year of experience. For positions one (1) level below your current job, you were given one-half (1/2) credit for each year of experience. \n􀁩 Generically utilized job titles are defined as the positions of assistant to the director, executive assistant, management analyst, project manager, senior management analyst, senior management coordinator, senior project manager, senior special projects manager, and special projects manager. \nIf you are unsure of whether you are a Pay Plan A or Pay Plan B employee, view a listing here or reach out to your Employee Relations Team. \nEffective Date \nThe across-the-board increases and compression adjustments (excluding those for generically utilized job titles) will be effective beginning October 1, 2024 and reflected on the October 11 paycheck. All part-time and full-time employees will receive a letter before October 11 detailing the impact of the 3% across-the-board increase and any applicable compression adjustment. \nCivilian Compensation continued \nENTRY WAGE \nThe City’s entry wage will remain at $18 per hour and applies to all full-time, part-time, and City Council LGC employees, as well as City temporary and seasonal employees. There will be no changes to the pay ranges. \nCivilian Benefits \nHEALTH CARE PLANS AND PREMIUMS \nThere are no increases to medical, dental, and vision premiums this year (FY 2025).
