In just a few short weeks, our quiet classrooms and hallways will once again be filled with the energy, excitement, questions, laughter, and, of course, occasional nervous first-day jitters that come with welcoming our Warriors back to school. Whether your family is joining Point Road for the first time or returning for another year, we are so excited to begin the 2026–2027 school year together. I hope the summer has provided your family with opportunities to relax, recharge, and make some wonderful memories. While it is always difficult to see summer come to an end, there is so much to look forward to in the year ahead! \nIt has been another busy summer at Point Road. As you know, our referendum projects have continued to transform areas throughout the building, including new hallway lighting, new Child Study Team offices, and new speech rooms just to name a few!! We are grateful for the patience and flexibility of our entire school community as this important work moves forward, and we look forward to enjoying the benefits of these improvements together. \nAs we begin the new year, we are also excited to welcome several new members to our school community. Please join mein giving a warm Point Road welcome to: \n● Ms. McIlvain, Art Teacher \n● Ms. Ehmann, Kindergarten Instructional Aide \n● Mrs. Eliza McGinley, Kindergarten Instructional Aide \n● Mrs. Kimberly Stevenson, Instructional Aide \nWe are thrilled to have these talented individuals joining our team and look forward to the contributions they will make to our school community. \nWe also have two special name updates to share! Ms. Koren is now Mrs. Patton, and Ms. Zappala is now Mrs. Skurat. Please join me in congratulating both of them! \nAs we prepare to welcome students back, I want to share a few reminders to help our arrival and dismissal routines run as smoothly and safely as possible. \nOur procedures for arrival and dismissal will remain the same as last year. Rolling drop-off will continue along the Seven Bridges Road side of the building. To help keep the line moving, please make sure your child is ready to exit the car when you pull up. Backpacks and other belongings should be easily accessible, and students should be prepared to exit promptly and independently. Staff members will be available to assist our youngest students safely. \nLITTLE SILVER PUBLIC SCHOOLS \n357 Little Silver Point Road, Little Silver, NJ 07739 \nDr. Kathleen Stigliano Tel: 732-741-4022 \nPrincipal Fax: 732-741-2384 \nPoint Road School [kstigliano@littlesilverschools.org](kstigliano@littlesilverschools.org) \nPlease remember that parents should not exit their vehicles in the rolling drop-off line to retrieve belongings from the trunk. If you need additional time to unload, please park and walk your child to the front entrance instead. The same is true for those extra hugs and goodbyes—if your child needs a little more time with you before heading inside, we completely understand! If that is the case, parking on a side street and walking up together is a wonderful option. \nIf you park across the street from the building, please remember that students must use the designated crosswalk. Our crossing guards play an important role in keeping everyone safe, and there may occasionally be a short wait as students and families cross. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation. \nAll students will enter through the front entrance, with doors opening at 7:50 a.m. Unless you are registered for the YMCA before-care, please do not drop students off before this time, as supervision is not available prior to 7 :50. \nFor Kinderg","cbCaiktAEdhA6gCs","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiktAEdhA6gCs","pdf",140524,"English","# Arrival and Dismissal Reminders\n## Drop-off and pickup procedures\n## Crosswalk and parking guidance\n# School Updates and Community News\n## Referendum improvements\n## New staff and name updates\n# Lunch and Cafeteria Information\n## Lunch purchasing and ID cards\n## Nut-free food requirement\n# Communication Channels","[{\"question\":\"What time can students be dropped off, and what happens before that time?\",\"answer\":\"Doors open at 7:50 a.m. If not registered for YMCA before-care, students should not be dropped off before 7:50 a.m. because supervision is not available prior to that time.\"},{\"question\":\"How should families handle unloading and belongings during rolling drop-off?\",\"answer\":\"Parents should not exit vehicles in the rolling drop-off line to retrieve trunk belongings.
