It breaks up each product by line items and presents a clean overview of the drivers for each line with prepopulated text boxes to capture analysis.  \nThis template includes:  \n• Spreadsheet: Line of Business Memo  \nSpreadsheet: Line of Business Memo  \nThe intended use of this template is to collect commentary regarding drivers of financial results for use in reporting.  \n1. Roll the dates tab forward to the current period using the highlighted blue input cells.  \n2. Bring in data using an import, copy/paste. or Wdata automation and use formulas and linking to bring it into staged views for analysis.  \n3. Create a section of Sheets for each product or company being analyzed.  \n4. There are a number of example sheets reviewing earnings, income, ratios, and sales that allow for capturing commentary and different formats. Determine which format is appropriate for each financial statement line you are capturing drivers for and create a corresponding sheet with the correct data.  \n5. For each line, review the data at the top of the Sheet to compare current period results to prior year, prior quarter, and plan on a quarter-to-date and year-to-date basis.  \n6. Review each section for commentary and the automated sentence that magnitude and direction of the change.  \n7. Use the blue input cells to write commentary regarding which drivers were responsible for the results.  \n8.
