The Weekly Work Plan (WWP) guides success measurement through PPC and highlights factors limiting performance. Developed collaboratively through pull planning, it includes next-week activities where each posted item reflects a team member’s personal commitment based on promised handoffs and acceptance criteria.","Last Planner System® Standard Work 9_Weekly Work Planning \nWeekly Work Planning LCI Definition: \nThe commitment-level, \"will\" planning step of Last Planner System® (LPS®) is identifying the promised task completions agreed upon by the performers. The Weekly Work Plan (WWP) is used to determine the success of the planning effort and to determine what factors limit performance. It is a more detailed level than the lookahead and is the basis of measuring PPC (Percent Plan Complete) . \nOutcome: \nCreate a WWP outlining the activities that will occur next week and that provides the basis for the determination of PPC in addition to what factors limit performance. \nProcess: \nThe WWP is collaboratively developed by the team’s Last Planner®s (LP™) via pull planning. Activities included in the WWP are those that will occur in the upcoming week. When posted, each activity represents a personal commitment from a team member based upon the promised completion (handoff) and acceptance of another activity in the WWP. \nLast Planner System® Standard Work 9_Weekly Work Planning \n| Actions | What’s Critical | Why It’s Important |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| 1) Assemble the Last Planner®s (LP™) for the weekly meeting. | 􀁸 Regular attendance by the LP™ . | 􀁸 Attendance is critical to ensure all parties are represented and have input into the WWP. |\n| 2) Transfer the activities in week 2 of the 6-Week Lookahead Plan into the new WWP. The WWP can be maintained electronically, possibly in Excel, or with tags on the wall (as long as the WWP can remain posted on the wall for all to see) . | 􀁸 Transferring the activities correctly. | 􀁸 Transferring the thought process of prior meetings is important to avoid wasting time re-creating what has already been planned. |\n| 3) Review the activities in the new WWP and adjust the sequence as necessary based upon the progress of the project. Add additional detail at the daily level for each trade. | 􀁸 Confirm that the sequence, duration and handoffs are correct. | 􀁸 Prior to gaining a commitment from the LP™, it is important to gain consensus from the team members that all logic is correct. |\n| 4) Gain a commitment from the LP™ for each activity and the day(s) it will be worked on and completed. | 􀁸 Personal commitment that the activities will occur (as part of the Lookahead Plan they were activities that could occur) . | 􀁸 LPS® is founded upon commitmentbased planning. Having the LP™ commit to each other creates trust anda collaborative effort. |\n| 5) Update the WWP with the commitments. | 􀁸 Capturing the promises made. | 􀁸 In order to calculate reliable and accurate PPC, the WWP needs to be accurate. |\n\nLast Planner System® Standard Work 9_Weekly Work Planning \nWeekly Work Plan Excel Example: \nLast Planner System® Standard Work 9_Weekly Work Planning \nWeekly Work Plan Board Example: \nCourtesy of PCL Construction","cbCaiddVhRBgPQUF","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiddVhRBgPQUF","pdf",703321,10,4,"English","en",105,"# Weekly Work Planning LCI Definition\n# Outcome\n# Process\n# Standard Work Actions","[{\"question\":\"What does Weekly Work Planning (WWP) achieve in LPS?\",\"answer\":\"WWP outlines the activities that will occur next week and provides the basis for determining PPC while also revealing what factors limit performance.\"},{\"question\":\"How is the WWP developed and updated?\",\"answer\":\"The team’s Last Planners collaboratively create the WWP via pull planning, transferring activities from the 6-Week Lookahead (week 2) and then adjusting sequence based on project progress and commitments.\"},{\"question\":\"What is the role of commitments in the Weekly Work Plan?\",\"answer\":\"Each WWP activity represents a personal commitment from a team member, based on promised completion (handoff) and acceptance of another activity, enabling trust and accurate PPC calculation.\"}]","Last Planner System - Standard Work 9 - Weekly Work Planning | PDF",1789175706,2,{"code":4,"msg":77,"data":78},"ok",{"site_id":70,"language":69,"slug":79,"title":59,"keywords":80,"description":60,"schema_data":81,"social_meta":135,"head_meta":137,"extra_data":139,"updated_unix":140},"last-planner-system-standard-work-9-weekly-work-planning","",{"@graph":82,"@context":134},[83,97,117],{"@type":84,"itemListElement":85},"BreadcrumbList",[86,90,92,95],{"item":87,"name":88,"@type":89,"position":9},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":91,"name":10,"@type":89,"position":75},"https://docshare.wps.com/template/",{"item":93,"name":11,"@type":89,"position":94},"https://docshare.wps.com/template/presentations/",3,{"item":96,"name":59,"@type":89,"position":67},"https://docshare.wps.com/template/last-planner-system-standard-work-9-weekly-work-planning/241464/",{"url":96,"name":59,"@type":98,"image":99,"author":104,"headline":59,"publisher":106,"fileFormat":109,"inLanguage":69,"description":60,"dateModified":110,"datePublished":111,"encodingFormat":109,"isAccessibleForFree":112,"interactionStatistic":113},"DigitalDocument",{"url":100,"@type":101,"width":102,"height":103},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/last-planner-system-standard-work-9-weekly-work-planning/241464.png","ImageObject",442,249,{"name":57,"@type":105},"Person",{"url":87,"name":107,"@type":108},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-10-11","2026-09-12",true,{"@type":114,"interactionType":115,"userInteractionCount":66},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":116},"ViewAction",{"@type":118,"mainEntity":119},"FAQPage",[120,126,130],{"name":121,"@type":122,"acceptedAnswer":123},"What does Weekly Work Planning (WWP) achieve in LPS?","Question",{"text":124,"@type":125},"WWP outlines the activities that will occur next week and provides the basis for determining PPC while also revealing what factors limit performance.","Answer",{"name":127,"@type":122,"acceptedAnswer":128},"How is the WWP developed and updated?",{"text":129,"@type":125},"The team’s Last Planners collaboratively create the WWP via pull planning, transferring activities from the 6-Week Lookahead (week 2) and then adjusting sequence based on project progress and commitments.",{"name":131,"@type":122,"acceptedAnswer":132},"What is the role of commitments in the Weekly Work Plan?",{"text":133,"@type":125},"Each WWP activity represents a personal commitment from a team member, based on promised completion (handoff) and acceptance of another activity, enabling trust and accurate PPC calculation.","https://schema.org",{"og:url":96,"og:type":136,"og:title":59,"og:site_name":107,"og:description":60},"article",{"robots":138,"canonical":96},"index,follow",{"doc_id":55,"site_id":70},1791729893]
