The small courier service for Carrapateena is as follows:  \nWith a base at the Carrapateena mine, the courier will provide a daily service between Carrapateena and the Upper Spencer Gulf regional centres of Port Augusta and Whyalla. This service will operate on a continual basis of one circuit per day, 365 days per year. It is a Drive  \nIn/Drive Out (DIDO) role on an 8/6 roster, where Tuesday to Wednesday is spent accommodatedat Carrapateena and travel to and from Carrapateena is provided via the courier truck from Port Augusta. A weekly handover will take place at Kokatha Mining Services’ depot at Yon Street at the commencement and completion of each 8-day roster.  \nInitially, the courier service will transport material along the southern access road (SAR) and will transition to the western access road (WAR) upon its completion.  \nWhilst this service will be dedicated to transporting laboratory samples, there may be requirements to transport general freight between Carrapateena and the Upper Spencer Gulf regional centres. In the case of carrying additional general freight, the laboratory sample delivery will always remain the primary service and general freight delivery will be secondary.  \n1. Activities  \nThe Courier driver will perform a number of activities on a daily basis, under direction from the Operations Manager. These activities will include but are not limited to the following:  \n• Carry out daily Pre-Start-Checks for courier truck  \n• Attend Pre-Start meetings with the Laboratory team  \n• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that documents are complete, and the details are correct.  \n• Load, transport, and deliver items to Whyalla Laboratory in a safe, timely manner  \n• Ensure load is secured with appropriate tie down straps.  \n• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.  \n• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.  \n• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.  \n• Operate equipment and machines, such as trucks, forklifts, etc. in accordance with safe operating procedures.  \n• Use safe manual handling techniques, practice safe work habits following KMS Health, Safety and Environment policies  \n• Utilise and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided by KMS where required  \n• Report any health or safety hazards, faults, repairs, and incidents to the Supervisor and record on the appropriate forms immediately  \n• Report all damaged and broken equipment to your supervisor and record on the appropriate form  \n• Adhere to the site access requirements , including:  \no Courier vehicle maintained to specified site standards, and  \no Personnel to specified to site entry requirements.  \n• Adhere to transport protocol, including:  \no Maintain sample documentation, integrity and segregation; and  \no Comply with pick-up and delivery schedules.  \n• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times with regard to the vehicle.  \n• Comply with the KMS’s Fatigue Management Procedure to ensure fitness for work each day  \n• Participate in safety training, safety audits and contribute to ongoing reviews of safe systems of work.  \n• Conduct regular safety checks on plant, machinery and work procedures.  \n• Other duties as may be required from time to time to fulfil the needs of the Courier Service  \n2.
