After careful thought and scrutiny of Towson Cornerstone’s needs, compared to the other 100 candidates, a final recommendation was made for Joseph Zuramski to fill the position. This recommendation was made based on a three-step recruitment process. From the 100 résumés provided to us, we picked the top five based on educational requirements, document format, and job experience. From the remaining five candidates, the top two applicants were chosen based on their ability to convey their experience through the use of stories in their cover letters. We determined our final recommendation by evaluating the interview skills of both candidates. Throughout every stage of the recruitment process, our group was looking for a candidate that had the best combination of communication skills, teamwork, critical thinking, and technological skills. \nEvaluating the Candidates’ Résumés \nAs a group, we were given the opportunity to look through multiple résumés that candidates made for Towson Cornerstone’s entry-level financial analyst position. Our goal was to narrow down 100 résumés to the top five. Since we were only given about 30 minutes to look at the résumés, we followed a list of criteria that helped us eliminate some of them very quickly. We listed the criteria below. \n􀁸 Provided a GPA of 3.0 or higher \n􀁸 Limited the information to one page \n􀁸 Avoided plagiarism in the objective statement \nThese three rules eliminated over half of the 100 résumés and made the decision easier for our group. From the remaining résumés, we focused more on the job experience. We looked for candidates who were able to quantify their job experience with statistics or data. We also gave extra consideration to the candidates with a GPA over 3.5 and candidates who have technological skills that will translate well to a financial analyst position. After evaluating all of therésumés based on the criteria mentioned above, we were able to choose Joseph Zuramski, Raven Childs, Samantha Quintanilla, Steven Adwar, and Steven Bond. \nAll five candidates had strengths and weaknesses to their résumés, but there were a few things that stuck out. Raven Childs was very good at quantifying her work experience. For example, she mentioned that she made over $30,000 in revenue working for the Metropolitan Washington Sports Authority. Joseph Zuramski dida nice job detailing the technological skills he has acquired through his job experience. For example, he included how he updated Excel worksheets, created \nPDFs, and managed social media websites while working for ReliaSource. Lastly, Steven Bond’s résumé was impressive because he has achieved a 3.95 GPA during his three years at Towson University. These are just a few of the things that separated the candidates we chose from the other 95 students. \nAfter evaluating all 100 résumés based on various qualities regarding their job experience, education, and document format, we came to the conclusion that Joseph Zuramski, Raven Childs, Samantha Quintanilla, Steven Adwar, and Steven Bond were the best five candidates available at that point in the recruitment process. Their résumés all stood out in different ways. The evaluation of all five candidates’ cover letters was the next step we took to eliminate more applications. \nChoosing the Top Cover Letters \nOnce our candidates were narrowed down to five, we read each of their cover letters. We looked closely for specific stories from the candidate’s work experience that demonstrated communication skills, teamwork, critical thinking, and technological skills. There were also a few things that we considered automatic deductions, such as using cliché phrases and failing t","cbCaidUiw3AOwFPc","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaidUiw3AOwFPc","pdf",176130,"English","# Recruitment Recommendation Overview\n## Resume Evaluation Criteria\n## Candidate Shortlisting and Strengths\n## Cover Letter Selection and Grading","[{\"question\":\"What three-step recruitment process does the team use?\",\"answer\":\"The team evaluates candidates through a resume-screening step, a focused review of cover letters, and an interview-skills check to finalize the recommendation.\"},{\"question\":\"What criteria were used to quickly eliminate resumes?\",\"answer\":\"Resumes were filtered using rules including a GPA of 3.0 or higher, limiting information to one page, and avoiding plagiarism in the objective statement.\"},{\"question\":\"Why did Raven Childs and Joseph Zuramski rank best for cover letters?\",\"answer\":\"Both were rated highest because their cover letters effectively used stories from work experience to demonstrate communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and technology, with Raven also scoring very well on message and organization.\"}]","Joseph Zuramski Top Recommendation for Analyst Position - Recruitment Team Recommendation | PDF",1789281675]
