Location: Humanists UK oĆces, London EC1 . Remote options available. \nReports to: the Director of IT \nSalary: will be in a range up to £42,000 pa \nOther benefits: hybrid/flexible working; up to 8% employer pension contributions; 25 days annual leave plus birthday leave; enhanced parental leave; private medical insurance plus a healthcare cash plan. \nThank you for downloading this pack. At Humanists UK, our dream is of a tolerant world where rational thinking and kindness prevail. Our dedicated staą of 43 and hundreds of volunteers work hard to achieve this aim and we now have a vacancy for a Website and CRM Developer. \nIs this the right position for you? \nWe are looking for a PHP developer to help us maintain and grow our systems. Your job will be to develop new features and sometimes entire systems. Your main role will be development, but you may occasionally be called into support end-users. \nAlso: sometimes you’ ll be bug hunting in existing systems, and sometimes we’ ll drop everything to respond to a political event. And sometimes you’ ll be working with the Director of IT to reimagine fundamental systems. \nWe need someone able to turn their hand to anything in a complex system, as well as willing to learn the right tool for the job. You don’t have to be an expert, just happy to learn and try. \nWe also want to develop our automated testing systems and general DevOps approachif you can help with that, all the better. \nWe’re looking for someone who is motivated by a good cause and who springs into action with ideas and solutions. You might be working in a junior tech role and looking for a promotion, or interested in a lateral move to a charity so you can dedicate yourself to a cause you really care about. \nOur ideal candidate probably has a few years of experience as a software engineer or website developer already, but we’re much more interested in raw talent, knowledge, and enthusiasm than we are in someone with X years of experience. \nThat said, we are open to working with new graduates. This is a great first job: you’ ll get experience with all sorts of tools and systems, and we iterate quickly: your work will be deployed quickly and regularly. There is also a lot of flexibility to implement modern systems and leave your mark. But you’ ll need to demonstrate that you have experience with the technologies we’re using and what we’re trying to achieve. \nEither way, you’ ll need to be someone who is self-motivated, eĆcient, and who takes real pride in their work. You’ ll show patience and understanding when discussing tickets and needs brought to the IT team by non-technical colleagues, exploring the nuts and bolts of how their areas of the organisation work, and at times directing them toreshape and redefine what they need. \nPage 2 of 10 \nIf this sounds like you, complete the application form, detailing how you match the person specification on page 7 and 8 and provide a CV. CVs on their own will not be accepted. \nCompleted forms and CV’s should be returned electronically by email with the subject‘Website and CRM Developer’ to recruitment@humanists.uk by 09:00 on Monday 12 February 2024. \nShortlisting and interviews \nCandidates short-listed for interview will be notified by Friday 16 February 2024. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held week commencing 19 February at our oĆces at 39 Moreland Street, London EC1V 8BB. [Or online if needed.] \nIf you have any questions about the post, please feel free to contact the recruiting manager Andrew West by email on [awest@humanists.uk-he will](awest@humanists.uk-he will) be very happy to talk more about the role with you. \nBest wishes and good luck, \nAnn-Michelle Burton \nHead of People \nMore about Humanists UK \nAt Humanists UK, we want a tolerant world where rationa","cbCaivqB1kfspm6l","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaivqB1kfspm6l","pdf",217699,10,"English","# Role overview\n## Responsibilities\n## Candidate requirements\n## Application process\n## Shortlisting and interviews\n## More about Humanists UK\n## Our IT Department work","[{\"question\":\"What are the key responsibilities for the Website and CRM Developer role?\",\"answer\":\"The role focuses on developing new features and sometimes entire systems, mainly in PHP with CiviCRM and WordPress.
