Ribbons Menu: The ribbons menu is context specific. The ribbon hovers over the other windows and provides general functions throughout the system. \n2. Perspectives: here you can set up any customized layout, composed of views to suit any role or task. Perspectives can be modified and saved. Typically, one has multiple perspectives to have the most comprehensive and efficient project and resource planning setup. In this example, the perspectives are broken down into People, Customers and Projects. \n3. Views: Multiple views make up perspectives. The dark blue line means this view is highlighted and active. Each view can contain multiple views in the form of tabs. Here one can see the view “Projects & Tasks” and “Project List” as tabbed views. Below is the “People Gantt view” which is a resource Gantt chart. \n4. Columns & Rows: Most views are made up of columns and rows in a grid format. Information is stored in cells just like a spreadsheet, and because it is a database, information is stored instantly and can be retrieved in multiple places at once. For instance, if we assign “Bob” to a task, it will happen in our current view, and will be reflected everywhere that Bob is mentioned, in the People Gantt, in his personal calendar, in the Project & Tasks Gantt, and any other place that is affected by the change. \n5. The toolbar: All the buttons above \\#5 are in the toolbar. Each view has its own toolbar which can be customized. The toolbar and customization are covered in the last section of this document. \n6. People (resources): People are resources (other things like locations or objects can also be resources) . One schedules resources on projects or tasks and assigns them hours. Here you can see Casper and Oli are assigned to a project, and have been given hours in the Gantt chart. \n7. Gantt Chart: The Gantt chart is interactive, one can drag and drop projects or tasks in time, and adjust their duration. One can also assign hours and move projects and people as needed to accommodate capacity. \n8. Hours: For each assigned person, one can add hours. The effect of adding hours can be seen in the red / green chart below which turns red when a person is overbooked. \n9.
