Details are given in the accompanying calendar for the first few days of school, but the key events and dates are as follows:  \nOrientation day for High School students and parents new to CDL  \nAll High School students and parents new to CDL will be welcomed to the school on Wednesday, 20th August, from 8:00 a. m.  \nGeneral orientation and tours of the school will take place during the morning and will be followed by lunch, which will be offered by the school.  \nDuring the afternoon, students will sit placement tests in the mandatory subjects (English, Math and French) if necessary.  \nWe recommend that students collect their textbooks and PE kit from Olympus on this day.  \nFirst day of school for new and returning students  \nSchool begins for all High School students on Monday, 25th August. The starting times have been staggered and details are given in the accompanying calendar for the first few days of school.  \nMeet the teachers and Welcome Back Barbeque  \nAs last year, the traditional ‘meet the teachers’ evening this year will be combined with the Welcome Back Barbecue, to be held on Tuesday, 23 rd September.
