They must be an exact match, otherwise the verifica􀆟on will be denied. This means that you must know the Township Name and Address that the IRS has. To find out what the IRS has on file for your township, please look in your township’s tax files for ANY leter from the IRS. If the Name and Address on the IRS leteris correct, please save this document as a PDF to your computer. \nIf you are unable to find a leter from the IRS, you will have to call the IRS at 1-800-829-4933 \n(op􀆟on 1, 1, 3) and try to confirm the Name and Address over the phone. You will need to provide them with the Name and Address that you think they currently have on file. It may take a few guesses before you figure out which Name and Address, they have. You may also need to know the EIN\\# or year organized as well. \nIf you do confirm this informa􀆟on and it is correct, then you will need to request that they faxor mail you a copy of the Employer Iden􀆟fica􀆟on Number (EIN) Verifica􀆟on Leter with this Name and Address on it to keep for you records. Another township was informed that they should expect to receive this leter in 10-14 days. In the mean􀆟me, you can use any bill that also has this “exact” Name and Address on it as the documenta􀆟on submited on [SAM.gov](SAM.gov). \nIf the Address is not current (For example, it has the old clerk’s mailing address), then you will need to update this informa􀆟on with the IRS by comple􀆟ng (8822B Form) off the IRS website at ([www.irs.gov](www.irs.gov) ) and mailing it in. You will then need to call the IRS about one week later atthe number listed above to check on the status of your updated informa􀆟on request and have them fax/mail you a copy of the updated EIN Verifica􀆟on Leter with the updated informa􀆟on listed. You can then use this new EIN Verifica􀆟on Leter as the documenta􀆟on submited on [SAM.gov](SAM.gov). \nRequired: Date Township was Organized/Incorporated \nThere are two ways to find out the date/year that the township was organized. This informa􀆟on may be listed on the MN Assoc. of Twps Officer List that MAT sends to clerks once a year to make sure that the officer informa􀆟on is current. If your township has provided this informa􀆟on to us in the past, it would be listed in the upper le􀅌-hand corner of the page. \nIf the date/year is not listed, then you will need to send an email to the MN Secretary of State (SOS) at offi[cial.documents@state. mn. us](cial.documents@state. mn. us and request documenta)[ and request documenta](cial.documents@state. mn. us and request documenta)􀆟on for the date that your township (Include the County) was organized/incorporated! If you know a 􀆟meframe of when it was organized (i.e., around 1905), please provide this as they are hand searching through infinite documents all the way back to the 1800’s, so a narrower range will help them find this informa􀆟on quicker. It could take days, weeks, even months to track this informa􀆟on down, so please be pa􀆟ent. They will not send you confirma􀆟on that your request was received. The only email that you will receive is when they email you a copy of the leter for your records once they find your exact date. Save this leter as a PDF to your computer and use it for addi􀆟onal documenta􀆟on valida􀆟ng the date incorporated/organized for your township on [SAM.gov](SAM.gov). \nSu","cbCaibo6nzUvDPvO","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaibo6nzUvDPvO","pdf",1608240,"English","# Confirm active UEI eligibility\n## Verify Township Name and Address with the IRS\n## Request EIN verification letter\n# Confirm organization/incorporation date\n## Use MN Assoc. of Twps officer list or MN Secretary of State\n# Submit and complete SAM.gov registration\n## UEI request and renewal steps","[{\"question\":\"Who can manage a SAM.gov account after a township has an active UEI?\",\"answer\":\"Only the entity administrator on the SAM.gov account can manage it, usually the person who originally set up the account.\"},{\"question\":\"What happens if the Township Name and Address do not exactly match IRS records?\",\"answer\":\"Verification is denied unless the information is an exact match.
