Here’s why:
▪ A single experience. With your funds in one Health Savings Account, you will have one login via [mycigna.com](mycigna.com), one statement, one mobile app, one support team, and one debit card.
▪ Save money by reducing fees. By consolidating funds and closing your other account(s), you can eliminate any administration fees from your current custodian.
▪ Make tax-time easier. By having one HSA, you will only have one set of tax forms to manage during tax-time.
Considerations
What’s needed?
Obtain the appropriate
Closure/Trustee to Trustee form from your prior custodian or use the HSA Bank Direct Transfer Form.
▪ Your account at HSA Bank must be in an open/active status.
▪ Closure fee may apply, your prior custodian should provide the details.
▪ Investments normally need to be liquidated to the cash account prior to transfer, consult with your prior custodian for process.
▪ You are responsible for tracking your individual transfer, your employer or Cigna cannot track this process.

| | | |
| --- | --- | --- |
|
Individual Transfer | | |
|
Process | Obtain the appropriate transfer form and submit it directly to your prior custodian as directed on the form.
▪ Prior Custodian-Trustee to Trustee Transfer Form
▪ HSA Bank-Direct Transfer Form (Resources/Tools & Support)
Your HSA is closed, and your prior custodian sends an individual check to HSA Bank.
