This post will be based in clinics in the area(s) specified in the contract of employment, however cover of clinics in Croydon, Bexley, Greenwich and Sussex and future new services may be required.  \nThe Health Care Assistant will work under the direction and guidance of the registered GPwSI / nurse but is expected to work independently in preparing and concluding clinics. However, this is guided by standard operating procedures and requires the individual to use a degree of initiative, and to work to agreed practice standards and protocols.  \nThe hours of work will be agreed by rota approximately 4 weeks in advance. These will vary from week to week dependent upon clinic schedules. Clinic hours will usually be between the hours of 8.00-18.00 Monday – Saturday. The Health Care Assistant should arrive no less than 30 minutes prior to the start of the clinic to ensure that the room and equipment are ready for use.  \nKEY RESPONSIBILTIES  \nThe role of a Healthcare Assistant involves a range of responsibilities to ensure smooth clinic operations and quality patient care. Key duties include preparing clinic rooms, assisting GPs during minor procedures, managing stock levels, transporting equipment, and maintaining cleanliness. You'll assist with patient queries, apply simple dressings, label pathology samples, act as a chaperone, and check clinic schedules.
