Mornings are spent engaged in Christian service, through building projects, visiting the elderly and sick, and praying with those we encounter. In the evenings, our team travels to nearby ejidos, or desert communities, to celebrate Mass, hold prayer meetings, and share testimonies. The whole experience is wrapped in prayer and fellowship. \nPilgrimage Day: \nOne day during the mission trip, we will take a pilgrimage to the capital city of Saltillo and visit the Cathedral of St. James, the Miracle Chapel (Capilla de Milagros), and explore the local market. \nDesert Day: \nDesert day is a time of prayer and silence with the Lord. Desert day is often spent in the beautiful foothills of Tejocote or the desert spring oasis of Chaco San Isidro. \nAccommodations: \nThe Casa de Misiones (Mission house), once the old servant's quarters for a former hacienda, has become the home to FMC’s full-time missionaries. It was built in the 1700’s. While it still has the old Mexican charm, it does have running water and electricity. \nTravel information \nGroups have three options for arriving in General Cepeda: \n● Drive to the mission base, roughly 5 hours from the Texas border \n● Fly into Plan de Guadalupe International Airport (SLW) in Saltillo, MX and get picked up by missionaries (airport is 1 hour away from the Mission House) \n● Fly into General Mariano Escobedo International Airport (MTY) in Monterrey, MX (airport is 2 \nhour away from the Mission House). This is the most common airport to fly into because it is larger and has more options available. \nGeneral Cepeda Facts: \n● General Cepeda is a small mountainous desert town surrounded by many ejidos (desert communities) and sits at roughly 4,800 ft above sea-level. \n● Most Mexican people in General Cepeda live in small adobe homes comprised of one or two rooms, where immediate and extended family live together \n● The total population of General Cepeda, including the 40+ villages and main city was over 11,000 people in 2005. \nWho is Family Missions Company? \nFamily Missions Company (FMC) is a lay Catholic missionary organization. Our primary service is to train and send out full-time missionaries to foreign lands to serve the Lord by bringing the Gospel to those who have not yet heard it. Another one of our main aposto lates is to coordinate and facilitate mission trips throughout the year to our established mission posts. \nWhat makes an FMC mission trip different from other mission trips? \nOne thing that makes our mission trips different is that we are evangelistic. The primary focus of all of our trips is going out and sharing our faith, bringing Jesus to the people that we are going to serve. Another thing that makes our trips different from other mission trips is that participants get to live and serve alongside our full-time missionari","cbCaii7i1CVVCZek","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaii7i1CVVCZek","pdf",866150,"English","# Information on General Cepeda 3\n## Fun facts, expectations, accommodations\n## FAQ\n## Missionary Heart\n## Commitments and requirements\n## Phone policy\n## Cancellation policy\n## Preparing for Missions\n## Packing List\n## Travel Information\n## Fundraising\n## T-Shirt Order Form","[{\"question\":\"What is the phone policy during the mission trip?\",\"answer\":\"The guide sets expectations for phone usage in the mission field.
