Also expected to be able to transport , transfer, and sort fruit at the Selah Plant. Only a trained and certified Forklift Operator can relieve this position. Positions included are: Empty Bin Hauler, Bin Stager, Dumper.  \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  \nInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices.  \nOnly qualified Processing Forklift Operators can perform these functions. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top [Inc. to](Inc. to) report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. Ensure Safe Operation of Forklift:  \n• Maintain safe operation of the forklift by following safe practices  \n• Complete forklift check-off form and return form to the supervisor before end of shift.  \n• Follow safe and proper driving procedures  \n• Inspect forklift for guards and other safety devices  \n• Check fluid levels, fill fuel tank with propane as required  \n• Be aware of changing weather conditions  \n• Report malfunctions of equipment to the Supervisor  \n• Observe traffic flow in work area  \n• Plan items to be moved and their sequence of movement  \n• Know forklift capabilities and limitations and how to operate different forklifts  \n2. Communication with Team Members and Supervisor:  \n• Communicate with Supervisor regarding the plan, follow process directions  \n• Communicate with Team Members and discuss needs  \n• Follow SOP’s & SSOP’s for the job assigned  \n• Know what paperwork and documents are required for the job (bin tickets, receiving log , dumping schedule , blend sheet, bulk inventory schedule, and inventory etc. )  \n• Know where (location or row) and kind (Variety & Standard; Peeler / Juice / Juice Peeler) of fruit to dump:  \ncorrect hopper, kind and amount  \n• Train new team members as required  \n3. Paperwork, Logs, and Inventory:  \n• Transfer information from bin tickets to dump report. Backed out fruit from bunkers and even flows must be recorded as well. Fruit that has been backed out needs to be marked with information from bin ticket (lot \\#, row \\#, peeler/juice, date) .  \n• Mark off what lot \\#’s have been dumped and are no longer available on dumping schedule.  \n• List information on inventory sheet and complete all info  \n4. Transport/ Transfer Bins/ Empty Bins and Grower’s Bins and Remove Garbage & Compost:  \n• Transfer empty bins to bin lot  \n• Segregate bins into grower lots  \n• Separate empty bins by type and name  \n• Transfer empty garbage & compost bins to designated Processing area  \n• Stack empty bins appropriately, straight and correct height and remove any broken bins  \n• Place bins in correct row by grower  \n• Dump compost and waste bins as needed. Store empty bins in designated area.  \n5. Ensure Proper and Safe Operation of Equipment  \n• Observe equipment is functioning properly; belts, rollers , conveyors , and Bay Doors.  \n• Know how the belts function and understand where the belts dump to  \n• Sort for decayed fruit and foreign material at the sorting table (A or B Deck) in the absence of a fruit attendant.
