Employee must follow all mandatory policies, guidelines, and regulations and must make sound decisions when it applies to performing their daily duties.  \nJob Responsibilities  \n• Assist with maintaining and organizing the warehouse workspace and equipment.  \n• Assist the Logistics Fleet Captain with vehicle pick-up and drop-offs.  \n• Assist with making payments for purchases, repairs, and services utilizing the city issued P-Card.  \n• Orders nonperishable items for department; bathroom essentials, cleaning supplies for fire stations and vehicles, etc.  \n• Maintains electronic and manual records accurately and in an orderly manner.  \n• Loading and unloading of supplies, equipment, and tools.  \n• Delivery/pickup of equipment, tools, nonperishable items, cleaning supplies to all fire department buildings.  \n• Identifies damaged, lost, or missing supplies, equipment, tools and notifies supervisor immediately.  \n• May assist with loading/unloading merchandise as needed with a forklift after proper training.  \n• Maintains a clean and orderly workspace to include the warehouse.  \n• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Logistics Captains and/or Logistics Deputy Chief.  \nAdditional Responsibilities  \n• Assist with making and receiving phone calls to vendors, fire stations, businesses.  \n• Monitors and checks station work orders on a daily bases.  \n• Hire vendors for service and repairs to include plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and appliances.  \n• Create purchase orders for the purchase of equipment, appliances, tools etc.  \n• Receives and verifies merchandise for inventory, delivery, and returns.  \n•  \nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities  \n• Job requires an accredited high school diploma or GED equivalent.  \n• Requires at least one (1) year experience in related work experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Warehouse inventory clerk experience is preferred.  \n• Job requires a valid Texas Class C Driver’s license.  \n• Must be able to interact with others in a professional and diplomatic manner.  \n• Must be able to use a computer with various software packages including, Microsoft word, Excel; and the use of standard office equipment.
