The Facilities Coordinator reports to, and works alongside our Facilities Director. They have a passion to make Southside feel like home for those who walk in-welcoming, safe, clean and inviting. From custodial services, to landscaping to event support, your standard should be to do everything with excellence and you should inspire the people around you to do the same!  \nThe basics  \n1. Hands-On Maintenance, Landscaping & Cleaning  \n● Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing light bulbs, fixing leaks, basic carpentry) .  \n● Ensure facility cleanliness, providing custodial work for the building.  \n● Upkeep on building grounds and surrounding landscape.  \n● Conduct security checks and ensure all doors are locked, and building is armed post-events.  \n● Saturday morning/afternoon security and cleaning walk-through.  \n2. Event Setup & Teardown  \n● Support event logistics, including (but not limited to) setting up furniture, parking cones, signs and equipment.  \n● Ensure all spaces are reset and ready for next use after events.  \n3. Scheduling & Coordination  \n● Manage the weekly facility cleaning and maintenance schedule.  \n● Assist in tracking inventory and ordering maintenance supplies.  \n● Serve as a point of contact for urgent maintenance needs during scheduled hours.  \nQualifications + Skills  \n● Prior custodial, facilities maintenance, or cleaning experience preferred.  \n● Ability to work independently and take initiative.  \n● Strong attention to detail and efficiency.  \n● Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.  \n● Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.  \n● Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.  \n● Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and unexpected needs.  \nThe additions *  \n● Staff-wide involvement:  \n○ “Help” projects such as All is Bright outreach days  \n○ Weekly scheduled meetings  \n● One-on-one meetings with your Direct Report  \n● 6-month evaluation period-assessment date TBD  \n* Working at Southside is dynamic because we’re willing to go above and beyond to bring more help and hope to our city.
