This resource equips parish leaders with the tools to plan, establish and grow their own endowment.  \nFromthe Bishop  \nDear Parish Leaders,  \nWe find ourselves in a unique moment in the life of the Church. Across the country, and here in Southern Minnesota, many parishes are experiencing real financial fragility. Annual giving has flattened, and younger generations donate differently than those who came before them. None of this should alarm us, but it should awaken us. The Church has faced changing circumstances in every age, and each time, the Holy Spirit has prompted us to respond with creativity, prudence, and trust in God’s providence.  \nOne of the most effective ways we can strengthen our parishes for the long term is by building endowments: stable, mission‐aligned funds that grow over time and provide reliable annual support. An endowment is not simply a financial instrument; it is a concrete expression of hope. It says to our parishioners and to future generations: we intend to be here, preaching the Gospel, celebrating the sacraments, forming disciples and bringing hope, for decades to come.  \nI want to challenge each parish in our diocese to take a step. Continue or begin the work of establishing an endowment that can serve as a long‐term revenue stream for your community.
