Because each emergency situation involves unique circumstances, the guidelines provide general guidance only. Thoughtful actions based on situation assessment are always required when responding to an emergency. It is also important to note that emergency guidelines do not necessarily represent sequential series of steps.\nGeneral Information (Refer to “EAP Position and Personnel Roster”)\nEmergencies can be identified as Medical, Fire, Severe Weather, Bomb Threats, Chemical Spills, Terrorist Attacks, Criminal Acts, Extended Power Loss, etc. Personnel should identify these emergencies and report them to the Emergency Coordinator and CALL 911 to alert Police. The local Emergency Services respond to emergencies.\nAssembly Area – (INSERT LOCATION)\nAlerting Personnel\nThe following apply during fires and other workplace emergencies requiring evacuation:\nThe fire alarm will be activated and personnel will calmly evacuate using designated escape routes giving vocal alarms of “FIRE”, etc.\nPersonnel will look into rooms as they leave the suite and notify personnel to exit; do not delay your evacuation for this purpose.\nPersonnel will assemble and remain in the evacuation Assembly Area. Leaving the group or failing to report to the evacuation Assembly Area can cause unnecessary effort locating personnel believed to be missing.\nImmediately notify your Floor Captain or the Emergency Coordinator of missing or unaccounted for personnel.\nStay alert and listen for instructions.\nAwait guidance to disperse, return to the building or take additional measures.\nIn the event of a Medical or other emergency that does NOT require evacuation, CALL 911 to alert Police and notify the Emergency Coordinator.\nROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nRefer to “EAP Position and Personnel Roster”\nAuthority: Emergency Coordinator, Floor Captain, and Aides for Persons with Disabilities are responsible only for evacuating personnel out of the suite and assisting personnel to the Assembly Area. Building Managers assume responsibility once our personnel exit (insert office information). Upon their arrival, Emergency Services (Incident Commander) will assume command.\nEmergency Coordinator (EC)\nNon-Emergency Responsibilities:\nEnsure the dissemination, implementation and updating of the EAP.\nReview and update EAP annually.\nEnsure personnel are assigned to all EAP positions.\nConduct exercises as needed to optimize our personnel emergency response.\nConduct and document an After Action Review following any emergency event and provide a copy to the organization’s Director.\nThe EAP will be maintained in accordance with (INSERT ALL GUIDANCE TO BE CONSIDERED) and shall include:\nEmergency escape procedures and emergency escape route assignments.\nProcedures to be followed by personnel who remain behind to operate/conduct critical operational requ","cbCaiozI2lg9mH7A","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiozI2lg9mH7A","doc",2567680,"English","# Workplace Emergencies\n## Introduction\n## General Information\n## Tenant Emergency Coordinator Roles & Responsibilities\n## Emergency Coordinator\n## Floor Captain\n## Aides for Members with Disabilities\n## General Instructions for Reporting Emergencies\n## Medical Emergencies\n## Fires\n## Active Shooter & Workplace Violence\n## Bomb Threats\n## Severe Weather & Natural Disasters\n## Extended Power Loss\n## Persons with Disabilities\n## Attachments\n## Zone Listing\n## Bomb Threat Card\n## Sample Position Matrix\n## Sample Personnel Roster","[{\"question\":\"What types of workplace emergencies does the plan cover?\",\"answer\":\"It covers medical emergencies, fires, severe weather and natural disasters, bomb threats, and other scenarios such as chemical spills, terrorist attacks, criminal acts, and extended power loss.\"},{\"question\":\"What should personnel do when evacuation is required (e.g., during fires)?\",\"answer\":\"Personnel should evacuate calmly using designated escape routes, look into rooms only as they leave to ensure others exit, assemble and remain at the evacuation Assembly Area, and notify the Floor Captain or Emergency Coordinator about any missing or unaccounted personnel.\"},{\"question\":\"What are the Emergency Coordinator and Floor Captain responsibilities during an emergency?\",\"answer\":\"The Emergency Coordinator oversees dissemination and updating of the EAP, initiates and completes accountability/evacuation coordination, and notifies management and response personnel about unaccounted individuals.
