This program applies to qualified and non-qualified employees who are exposed to electricity as part of their job.\nProgram Responsibilities\nManagement. An employee will only work on electrical equipment if he/she is a qualified worker, meaning he/she has been trained and authorized to perform work on deenergized electrical equipment and components. Employees are responsible for:\nWearing the appropriate PPE when working with or around electrical equipment\nReporting electrical safety hazards to their supervisor or the Program Administrator\nFollowing the safe work practices outlined in this program\nVisually inspecting electrical equipment, tools and cords before each use\nCompleting all required training\nWork Practices\nAll electrical equipment will have the manufacturer’s name, trademark or other descriptive marking which identifies the organization responsible for the product.
