Additional production module supports easy processing of pre-publication stages of the manuscript. \nSystem is currently integrated with CrossRef (DOIs), CrossCheck, iThenticate, CitedBy, EBSCO, DOAJ, PubMed/MedLine, Portico, PayPal, DotPay, OAI-PMH. If required it may be integrated with other databases and services. \nSystem helps: \n-Authors with fast and easy manuscripts submission in regard to specific journal requirements \n-Reviewers with easy reviewing \n- Editors with managing the manuscripts workflow, peer review processes and whole process of accepting manuscripts for a print in the journal \nMain system scenario: \n1. Author submits the manuscript. \n2. Editor receives the manuscripts and sends it to the Reviewers. \n3. Reviewers send the reviews. \n4. Editors make a decision: \na. Final decision (accept or reject the manuscript) causes that the process is finished \nb. Decision to revise the manuscript causes that the manuscript workflow starts from the 1st point. \nSection Editors: \nThis scenario may also include Section Editors. In such case, the manuscript is assigned by Editor-inchief or Managing Editor to a particular Section Editor who manages the reviewing process. After the reviews are received Section Editor sends a recommendation to Editor-in-chief who finally makes a decision on the manuscript. Depending on the configuration of the system it is possible that Section Editors make the final decision and send it to Authors. \nManaging Editors: \nThere is an option to assign received manuscripts to Managing Editors who manage the whole manuscript’s workflow. In such case the Managing Editor may see and is notified only on his/her articles. \n© Bentus 2020 \nPage 2 / 15 \nSystem scenario (screens) \n1. Sign in or create a new account (Authors area) \nFirst step of every Author submitting the manuscript to Editors is creating an account. If Author already has an account he simply Signs in. \n2. Add new manuscript (Authors area) \nAuthors add new manuscript and fill in all required fields (depending on what type of manuscript was chosen): title, type, authors (with institutions), abstract, keywords, author’s statement, cover letter, suggested reviewers, comment for Reviewers etc. Author also uploads the manuscript files: body (DOC, DOCX, RTF, PPT, PPTX) and optionally tables and figures. All required steps and fields are configured concerning the particular journal. \n© Bentus 2020 \nPage 3 / 15 \nAfter filling in all article data Author may send the manuscript to Editors. If the manuscript doesn’t meet the formal requirements the submission is not possible. Author is informed which steps should beamended. Example of requirement: abstract minimal words count. \n3. Editors receive the manuscript (Editors area) After receiving the manuscript Editors may: \n-choose Section Editor or Managing Editor for the manuscript \n-send it to Reviewers \n-send it to Statistical Editor or Linguistic Editor \n-edit the manuscript \n-make decision \n© Bentus 2020 \nPage 4 / 15 \n4. Editors invite Reviewers to review the manuscript (Editors area) Editors select particular Reviewers and send them review invitations. \n5. Reviewer sends review (Reviewers area) \nAfter accepting a review invitation Reviewer may download the full version of manuscript and send a review using the journal-specific reviewer’s form. \nReviewer also suggests the final decision for a particular manuscript; Reviewer","cbCaigQ9GpVX1KkB","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaigQ9GpVX1KkB","pdf",1017446,"English","# Main system scenario\n## Submission and reviewer workflow\n## Editorial decisions and revision cycle\n# Section editors and managing editors\n## Section editor assignment\n## Managing editor workflow\n# System scenarios (screens)\n## Author: sign in and create account\n## Author: add new manuscript\n## Editors: receive and route manuscripts\n## Editors: invite reviewers\n## Reviewers: submit reviews and recommendations\n## Editors: make decisions","[{\"question\":\"What is the Editorial System used for?\",\"answer\":\"It helps editors process and manage peer review for scientific manuscripts, including support for pre-publication stages.\"},{\"question\":\"What happens when a reviewer suggests a decision?\",\"answer\":\"A reviewer submits reviews using the journal-specific form and can suggest accept, accept after minor changes, rate again after major changes, or reject.
