The hospice has an outstanding local reputation and is committed to ensuring that the patients and families we provide comfort and care for each year continue to receive an exceptional level of support towards the end of their lives as well as helping to influence and enhance best practice in end of life care with other providers.  \n2. Main purpose & scope  \nProspect Hospice’s retail operation predominantly consists of selling locally donated goods via our network of 17 local shops, supported by the Distribution Centre, and is a key part of the hospice’s overall income generation strategy.  \nIn order to further increase revenue, we are now looking to expand our online retail presence, combining our e-Bay shop and a new hospice branded online retail shop, which will ultimately have the capability to also link into other social media and retail platforms, such as Facebook marketplace, Etsy, Gumtree.  \nThe eCommerce manager will be responsible for the strategic planning and growth of our online sales, via our online shop, eBay shop and any other eCommerce and/or social media platforms chosen by the hospice to support, ensuring that the right products are advertised on the relevant online platforms in an engaging way, optimising performance and revenue opportunities, whilst maintaining quality control in all areas.  \nYou will be responsible for building positive relationships internally and externally in order to develop our online presence, analyse results to help identify opportunities and solutions. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of a challenging online retail strategy. You will lead and manage the eCommerce team (staff and volunteers) in a professional manner, maximising revenue opportunities and ensure efficient and compliant processes and procedures are operated.  \nYou will ensure the eCommerce team understands and demonstrates the hospice’s ASPIRE values in all they do.  \n3. Key accountabilities and areas of responsibility  \nThe prime purpose of this role will include (but is not exhaustive):  \n􀁸 Drive sales performance to exceed targets, maximise sales conversion (including Gift Aid) and listing targets, whilst minimising expenses.  \n􀁸 Create and deliver an eCommerce strategy to grow and develop our online retail presence  \n􀁸 Review and regularly monitor eBay & online shop sales performance, management information and product lines in order to determine areas for improvement and effective customer journeys.  \n􀁸 Understand how the hospice e-Bay and online shops currently operate, including processes, resource model in order to identify any potential issues and/or areas where we can operate more efficiently and effectively, maximising economies of scale.  \n􀁸 Be responsible for managing the link between e-Bay and the online shop (and other online retail channels) to finance, ensuring that the Paypal and payment and batching and reporting processes, considerations, impacts and controls are in place and operating as required.  \n􀁸 Work with the comms & marketing team and head of retail to deliver multi-channel marketing campaignsand high quality, fresh and engaging customer focused online and social media content that meets both business objectives and customer needs and drives engagement.
