As stated by its name, it is based on a very popular graphic package pgf/TikZ. This document presents the usage of pgf-pie and collects some pie charts as examples. pgf-pie can be downloaded from [https://github.com/pgf-tikz/pgf](https://github.com/pgf-tikz/pgf)pie. \nContents \n1 Usage 1 \n1.1 First Pie ................................................ 1 \n1.2 Position, Rotation, Size ....................................... 1 \n1.3 Color .................................................. 2 \n1.4 Explode ................................................ 3 \n1.5 Angle of slices ............................................. 3 \n1.6 Slice order ............................................... 3 \n1.7 Text .................................................. 3 \n1.7.1 Number ............................................ 3 \n1.7.2 Label text ........................................... 4 \n1.8 More about style ........................................... 5 \n1.8.1 shadow ............................................ 5 \n2 Variant Charts 5 \n2.1 Polar area diagram .......................................... 5 \n2.2 Square ................................................. 5 \n2.3 Clouds ................................................. 6 \n3 Examples 6 \n4 Acknowledgements 6 \n1 Usage \n1.1 First Pie \n\\pie is the only command that provided by pgf-pie. The argument is a list of number and text combination in the formate of number/text, i.e. 10/A, 20/B, 30/C, 40/D. The result is shown in figure 1. \n1.2 Position, Rotation, Size \nThe center of chart can be set by pos, default is {0,0} . The chart can be rotated by setting rotate (in degrees) . The size of chart can be set by radius, default is 3 . \nA \n10% \nB \n20% \nC \n30% \n40% \nD \n\\begin{tikzpicture} \n\\pie{10/A , 20/B , 30/C , 40/D}\\end{tikzpicture} \nFigure 1: The first pie. \nFigure 2: Default color wheel \n\\begin{tikzpicture}\\pie{10/ , 20/ , 30/ , 40/} \n\\pie [pos={8,0} , rotate=180]{10/ , 20/ , 30/ , 40/} \n\\pie [pos={17,0} , radius=4]{10/ , 20/ , 30/ , 40/}\\end{tikzpicture} \n1.3 Color \nThe color can be specified by color, the default color wheel is shown in figure 2. \nA \n10% \nB \n20% \nC \n30% \n40% \nD \nA \n10% \nB \n20% \nC \n30% \n40% \nD \n\\begin{tikzpicture} \n\\pie [color={black!10, black!20, black!30, black!40}]{10/A , 20/B , 30/C , 40/D} \n\\pie [pos={8,0} , color=blue!20] {10/A , 20/B , 30/C , 40/D}\\end{tikzpicture} \n1.4 Explode \nA \n10% \nB \n20% \nC \n30% \nD \n40% \nB \nD \n40% \n\\begin{tikzpicture}% explode list \n\\pie [explode={0, 0, 0, 0.1}] {10/A , 20/B , 30/C , 40/D} \n% explode all \n\\pie [pos={8,0} , explode=0.1] {10/A , 20/B , 30/C , 40/D}\\end{tikzpicture} \n1.5 Angle of slices \nThe value of sum indicates the sum of all data in the chart, it is 100 by default.
