Chapter 2 focuses on the literature review and Chapter 3 covers research methodology, including population, sample, instruments, data collection and analysis, limitations, and ethical considerations. Approved completion of Chapters 2 and 3 is required, and students not receiving approval move to DIS-9902C to finalize and gain required approvals before DIS-9903A.","Course Code and Title: DIS-9902B The Dissertation Proposal Supplemental\nCourse Credits: 3\nCourse Description:\nStudents enrolled in this course will be required to complete Chapters 1-3 of their Dissertation Proposal and receive Committee approval for the Dissertation Proposal (DP). Chapter 2 consists of the literature review. Chapter 3 covers the research methodology to include population, sample, measurement instruments, data collection and analysis, limitations, and ethical considerations. In this course, a completed and Committee approval of Chapters 2 and 3 are required in addition to a completed, approved Dissertation Proposal (against the minimum rubric standards) before students may move to DIS-9903A. Students who do not receive approval of the Dissertation Proposal will be enrolled in DIS-9902C to finalize and gain approval of these requirements.\nCourse Learning Outcomes:\nFormulate an exhaustive, balanced, objective review of relevant and current literature relative to the discipline of study that will result in an approved Chapter 2.\nDemonstrate mastery of the current research base relevant to the discipline under study.\nSubstantiate through current and seminal literature the relevant theoretical foundation/conceptual framework used to frame the study.\nFormulate a detailed research design and methodology substantiating the alignment of the problem statement, purpose, research questions and/or hypotheses relevant to the discipline under study that will result in an approved Chapter 3.\nAssemble all ancillary materials, appendices and references necessary to complete their dissertation proposal.\nCourse Concepts:\nResearch Methodology, Design, and Approach\nLiterature Review\nDissertation Proposal\nIRB Application and Supplementary Materials\nScholarly Writing\nIntroduction to DIS-9902B\nOver the next 8 weeks, you will prepare the chapters required for the course deliverable: An approved Dissertation Proposal (DP). Chapter 3 is mapped to key components from Chapter 1 and develops the methodology design and approach in detail. It should outline how you will answer the research questions by the research proposed. Chapter 2 requires you to delve into the previous research conducted on elements of the problem and theoretical/conceptual framework you are planning to investigate. Not only does this Chapter 2 provide an overview of what other researchers have found, it also provides a focus and direction for your proposed study.\nAs you develop your literature review for Chapter 2 and begin to work on your IRB documentation throughout this course, you may become aware of additional information that may affect your methods design and approach. This new information may have an impact on your proposed study. If so, you must ensure that you address those changes in both Chapters 1 and 3. Developing and writing your Dissertation Proposal is an iterative process where the more you learn, the more processes and procedures may need to change to address research accessibility and feasibility challenges. To ensure complete alignment and flow, the entire proposal must be reviewed and approved by the end of the course.\nCourse Sequence\nThe dissertation sequence of courses has been designed to assist you in scaffolding the development of the individual chapters of the dissertation in a timely and scholarly approach. There are four 12-week courses. The deliverables evaluated at the end of each course include:\nDissertation course DIS-9901A – Chapter 1\nDissertation course DIS-9902A – Chapter 2 and Chapter 3; Final Dissertation Proposal\nDissertation course DIS-9903A – IRB approval, data collection, and Final Study Closure Form\nDissertation course DIS-9904A – Chapter 4 and Chapter 5; Final Dissertation Manuscript and Oral Defense\nIf you do not meet the minimum standards on the required deliverable at the end of the 12-week course, you will be assigned to an 8-week supplementary course. The 8-week supplementary course provides additional Committee collabor","cbCaipv7FULlGYEf","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaipv7FULlGYEf","docx",229468,9,"English","en",105,"# Course Code and Title\n## Course Description\n## Course Learning Outcomes\n## Course Concepts\n## Course Sequence\n## Committee Roles","[{\"question\":\"What must students complete and approve in DIS-9902B?\",\"answer\":\"Students must complete Chapters 1–3 of the dissertation proposal and receive committee approval for the DP.
