Under general direction, the Director of Facilities coordinates and supervises the development and execution of short and long range planning and facility improvement projects, including components such as enrollment projections, facility needs, maintenance and operational functions, and financing and construction; plans, organizes, directs and administers the District's planning, property management, and construction functions; assures efficient and cost-effective departmental operations ; supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel; oversees contracts with architects, consultants and vendors, as well as the procurement of supplies, equipment, services, and property control functions as needed; performs specialized and responsible duties related to school facilities projects; and performs other related work as required.  \nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS  \nAssists in the coordination and development of short and long-range plans for the housing of students and related District support functions.  \nMaintains and analyzes a variety of demographic factors related to community and student population trends.  \nAssists in the development, coordination, implementation and monitoring of school construction projects as assigned.
