The template supports efficient and sustainable use of the partnership’s shared skills, experience, and resources, while addressing time constraints with realistic strategies. Guidance explains how to outline goals, list required outcomes, specify task or activity actions, and assign the remaining key elements. A new template is needed for each partnership goal, completed with leader or working-party collaboration involving all members.","􀁸 \nDeveloping Work Plans \nPartnership Work Plan Template \nWork plans set out how a partnership will achieve its goals. They help convert big picture goals into smaller, more manageable outcomes and tasks. \nWork plans help ensure that the skills, experience and resources brought together by the partnership are used efficiently and sustainably. \nThe most effective work plans acknowledge time constraints or other restrictions and set out simple, realistic strategies. \nKey elements \nKey elements of a partnership work plan include: \n􀁸 Clearly defined goals and outcomes – Whilst goals are broad and discuss general intentions, outcomes refer to the results, products or services that will be achieved. Outcomes are tangible and can be measured. \n􀁸 Activities – lists what tasks will be used to achieve the outcome. \n􀁸 Responsibilities – establishes which individuals or team will be responsible for implementing activities. \n􀁸 Costs – provides an indication of the activity’s cost and what kind of resources need to be assigned for it to be completed. \n􀁸 Evaluation – ensures that measures to assess the effectiveness of an activity are included in the plans, such as recording achievements or collecting data. \nUsing the template \nA work plan template is included on the following page. This template requires you to: \n1. Outline your partnership’s goals \n2. List the outcomes required to achieve each goal \n3. Provide a list of specific activities that will address the outcome \n4. Fill in the remaining key work plan elements relevant to the outcome. \nA new template will be needed for each partnership goal. \nThe template can be completed by partnership leaders or a working party made up of partnership members. However, the development of a work plan should involve all members of the partnership in its development to ensure a sense of cooperation, commitment and ownership. \n| Partnership Title: University Science for Victorian Secondary College | | | | | Year: |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| Goal: eg Improve student engagement in the school’s science curriculum | | | | | |\n| Outcomes:\u003Cbr>􀁸 eg 75% of Year 10 science students enrol into VCE science subjects\u003Cbr>􀁸 eg 50% ofscience students completing VCE achieve A+ grades | | | | | |\n| Task/Activity | Date | Task leader and/or team members | Costs/Resources needed | Risks | Evaluation method |\n| eg Year 10 students access University science labs for 2 classes per fortnight | | | | | |\n| eg University science professor instruct 5 VCE science classes per term | | | | | |\n| | | | | | |\n| | | | | | |\n| | | | | | |\n| | | | | | |\n| | | | | | |\n| Notes: | | | | | |\n\nrd \nAdapted from School, Family and Community Partnerships: Your Handbook for Action, 3 Ed.
