Guidance wording has been entered and should be deleted after organization specific information has been added to produce the final document.
The first two pages should be deleted when the document is completed.
Text written in italics is intended to identify differences between EASA / EMAR Part 21 and the MRP. Organizations proposing to use their civil Exposition to support a DAOS approval, should address these differences in their DAOS Supplement in addition to any differences in application of their EASA approved procedures.
The required information can be presented entirely in this document, or in external procedures appropriately identified and referred to. However, any referenced procedures need to be listed within this Exposition and provided to the MAA.
The Exposition and the referenced procedures should be written in the most suitable language for the users dealing with it. If the Design Organization Exposition (DOE) is not written in English, an English translation should be made available to UK MAA DAOS Branch Head.
It is recommended that the DOE is version controlled using the Issue X.Y principle:
X changes after a MAA approved major change of the document.
Y changes after a minor change of the document.
This DOE Template:
Is not a Standard Manual.
Does not introduce new or modified rules.
Should not be regarded as formally adopted Acceptable Means of Compliance or Guidance Material.
Does not constitute any legal obligation or right for the MAA or Organization.
This DOE Template is regularly revised to ensure alignment with changes in Regulation. The latest amendment was to Rev 4.2 as a minor uplift. Organizations utilizing the template at versions prior to the last major revision (Rev 4.0) are encouraged to uplift their DOE to the current revision or should be cognisant of the changes made and update their Expositions accordingly at their next natural uplift. Organizations utilizing template at Rev 3.3 or earlier are to strongly consider adoption of the latest version, due to the significant cumulative Regulatory change.
\u000f
Design Organization Exposition
{insert company name}
{Insert company DAOS approval number}
\u000f
Organization
Organization Address
\u000f
Index
\u0013 TOC \\o "1-2" \\h \\z \\u \u0014\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782017" \u0014Part 1 - Organization \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782017 \\h \u00143\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782018" \u00141.1 Organization Address \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782018 \\h \u00143\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782019" \u00141.2 Index \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782019 \\h \u00144\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782020" \u00141.3 Amendment History \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782020 \\h \u00145\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782021" \u00141.4 Distribution List \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782021 \\h \u00145\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782022" \u00141.5 Objective of Design Organization Exposition and Binding Statement \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782022 \\h \u00146\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782023" \u00141.6 Responsible Person(s) For Administration of Exposition Handbook \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782023 \\h \u00147\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782024" \u00141.7 Amendments (RA 5850(4), 21.A.265(a)) \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782024 \\h \u00147\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782025" \u00141.8 Presentation of DO \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782025 \\h \u00147\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782026" \u00141.9 Scope of Work (RA 5850(2), 21.A.251) \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782026 \\h \u00148\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPERLINK \\l "_Toc230782027" \u00141.10 Additive Manufacturing \u0013 PAGEREF _Toc230782027 \\h \u001413\u0015\u0015
\u0013 HYPE","cbCaiua47ZKKuutH","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiua47ZKKuutH","docx",136581,37,"English","# Part 1 - Organization
## Organization Address
## Index
## Amendment History
## Distribution List
## Objective of Design Organization Exposition and Binding Statement
## Responsible Person(s) For Administration of Exposition Handbook
## Amendments (RA 5850(4), 21.A.265(a))
## Presentation of DO
## Scope of Work (RA 5850(2), 21.A.251)
## Additive Manufacturing
## Organizational Structure (RA 5850(5), RA 1200(1) Para 6.a.(4), 21.A.245)
## Human Resources (RA 5850(5), RA 1440, RA 1200(1) Para 6.d.(1), 21.A.245)
## Management Staff (RA 5850(5), 21.A.245)
## Certifying Personnel (RA 5850(5), 21.A.145(d)(1))
## Independent System Monitoring (RA 5850(3), 21.A.239(e), RA 1200(1) Para 6.c.(1) and (3))
## Evidence of Quality Management System Certification (RA 5850(2))
## Overview of Safety Management System (RA 1200, RA 5011)
# Part 2 - Procedures
## New Design (RA 5810, 21.A.19)
## Changes in Type Design (RA 5810(6) and RA 5820, 21.A.90A)
## Repairs (RA 5865, 21.A.431A)
## Design Process (RA 5850(3), 21.A.239)
## Compliance Demonstration (RA 5850(3), 21.A.239)
## Permit to Fly (RA 5880, 21.A.701)
## Coordination Between Design and Production or Maintenance
## Document Control (RA 5301(2), 5810(16), 5820(6), 5850(13), 5865(10), 5880(12), RA 1200(1) Para 6.c.(4), RA 1225, 21.A.5,)","[{"question":"What is the purpose of the Design Organization Exposition template?","answer":"It supports applicants seeking inclusion in the UK MAA DAOS by demonstrating required design capability, and it provides guidance for compiling the exposition document."},{"question":"Which regulatory references does the template rely on?","answer":"It references both MAA Regulatory Publications (MRP) and EASA/EMAR Part 21 requirements, supporting the completion of the document."},{"question":"How should organizations manage differences and language for the DAOS process?","answer":"Differences between EASA/EMAR Part 21 and MRP are identified in italics and should be addressed in the DAOS Supplement.
