CALL TO ORDER \nThe meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Jenn Springer at 682 Entrada Vista Street, Grand Junction, Colorado. \nII. ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS \nPresent: Jenn Springer (President), Clarke Cohu (Secretary), Mark McCain (Community \nCommunications Officer), and Heidi Lewis (Treasurer) . \nAbsent: Paul Sheridan (Vice-President) \nIII. APPROVAL OF MINUTES \nMinutes from the Board Meeting February 18, 2020. \nJenn moved that the Minutes be approved without changes. The motion carried 4 to 0. \nIV. INFORMATION OFFICER'S REPORT \na. Next Newsletter Items \nThere was discussion regarding what content would be included in the HOA newsletter. The next community event is the garage sale scheduled for June 27th. Jenn suggested that Mark include tips on how to manage a successful sale and a reminder of the sale date. There was a suggestion that the Board acquire information through Sara Rinaldo, a public health coordinator in CCN, for guidelines, to include whether a garage sale is approved under the state's current orders and the safe handling of money and accepted use of PPE's. An article from the DRB to the homeowners about Cottage Lots or Zero Lot line properties was suggested. Almost all Parkview home shares a common space access with the adjacent property residence through a unique arrangement written into the CCN bylaws. Jenn will reach out to Lisa Cox for an information update on the Founders Colony subdivision. Mark will write about reserving the gazebo, which walks a homeowner through the process of the waiver and the conditions of usage. The Board discussed how to schedule the gazebo reservations through a Google calendar and how to post the upcoming reservation at the gazebo as a notice to other homeowners. Heidi suggested installing a clear acrylic card holder for homeowners to use to post their event at the entrance of the gazebo. She will locate a suitable card holder and circulate to the board for review. There was discussion about making a recurring space available in the newsletter that offers tips to homeowners. Tips such as the proper shut down and start up of the domestic sprinkler/drip system. If there's room in the newsletter, the Board wanted to include a call-out to our CCN healthcare professionals and our homeowner graduates from schools and colleges. Heidi wanted to remind the Board of a homeowner's suggestion for the use of NextDoor, a neighborhood information hub. Jenn suggested that the newsletter contain an invitation for the community to organize a committee to formulate benefits and comparisons of hubs such as Slack and NextDoor. The newsletter is scheduled for release the first week in June. \nV. SECRETARY'S REPORT \na. WD Yards/Irrigation start-Up \nClarke reported a dead HOA tree at the very southwest corner of the subdivision, just west of Paul Sheridan's house. WD Yards has applied weed control to all the parks and \none treatment for the rock beds. WDY had overbooked the season, thinking that the pandemic would diminish business when it actually has increased. This has created a service lag in the season start-up. As part of the start-up, aside from Grand Junction Pipe's start-up, WDY should have set the scheduling for watering, checked all sprinkler heads and drips and repaired the 2 breaks in the drip and sprinkler lines. As of this meeting, this hasn't been performed. The run time for the amount of water to our parks is still set for last Fall's conditions, which was 10 minutes in Creek Park, which is not adequate in May and with little rain this Spring. The watering duration should have been reset for current conditions. Creek and Entrada Parks are beginning to show signs of stress. Clarke has communicated with WDY since the first week of April regarding the slow response to our start-up requirements and contract conditions. Weeds have also been a problem.
