By working together, we ensure that every Girl Scout has the best possible experience, and our collective efforts become stronger. \nThrough the Girl Scout Cookie Program, girls learn five essential skills: \n• Goal Setting-Girl Scouts learn how to set goals and create a plan to reach them. \n• Decision Making-Girl Scouts learn to make decisions on their own and as a team. \n• Money Management-Girl Scouts learn to create a budget and handle money. \n• People Skills-Girl Scouts find their voice and build confidence through customer interactions. \n• Business Ethics-Girl Scouts learn to act ethically, both in business and life. \nWe ask that you embody the values of the Girl Scout Promise and Law, helping your Girl Scout live by these principles as well. Your support is essential to the success of your Girl Scout and their troop this season. With your involvement, we can achieve incredible things together! \nThank you for your commitment and partnership! Your Entrepreneurship Program Team \nGirl Scout Promise \nOn my honor, I will try: To serve God* and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law. \n*Members may substitute for the word God in accordance with their own spiritual beliefs. \nGirl Scout Law \nI will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout. \nLet’s meet the Black Footed Ferrets! \nEach year, the Girl Scout Cookie Program has an inspiring new theme and mascot, that entrepreneurs can seamlessly incorporate into their business marketing strategies. The theme is carried out in the Girl Scout Cookie Program materials as well as in the rewards the Girl Scouts can earn. This year’s Girl Scout Cookie season official mascot is the Black Footed Ferret (BFF) and our theme is: Brave. Fierce. Fun. \nMeet Shirley and Dolly \nDid you know? The Shirley Basin in Wyoming is home to the largest population of reintroduced ferrets. \nOngoing Conservation: \nThe Wyoming Game and Fish Department and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service continue to monitor and release ferrets in the area as part of a larger recovery program. \nFun Facts about the Black Footed Ferret \nThe black footed ferret is the only ferret species native to North America. \nAverage life span in the wild is 1-3 years, and 4-6 in captivity. \nThey are nocturnal and fossorial, meaning they are most active at night and live underground. \nOnce thought extinct, the black-footed ferret was rediscovered in Wyoming in 1981. Through captive breeding, reintroduction, and cloning, its wild population has grown to over 400. \nProgram Calendar \nCalendar is subject to change \nJanuary 5: Girl Scout Digital Cookie welcome emails sent to begin storefront setup \nJanuary 12: Digital Cookie launches and the Girl Scout Cookie Program begins! \nJanuary 28-February 3: Troop Initial Orders delivered.
