develop a “Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan” (or “SWPPP”) prior to submitting a Notice of Intent (NOI) for permit coverage. EPA created this SWPPP Template to help you develop a SWPPP that is compliant with the minimum requirements of Part 7 of \u0013 HYPERLINK \"https://www.epa.gov/npdes/2022-construction-general-permit-cgp\" \u0014EPA’s 2022 Construction General Permit\u0015 (“2022 CGP”), and is customizable to your specific project and site.\nInstructions for Using the SWPPP Template\nEach section of the SWPPP Template includes instructions and space for your project and site information. Read the instructions for each section before you complete that section. Specific instructions on what information to include is indicated in each text field in blue text. Click on the blue text and the instructions will disappear once you start typing. The SWPPP Template is an editable document file so that you can easily add tables and additional text and delete unneeded or non-applicable fields. This is required in Parts 1.4 and 7.1.\nIf you prepared a SWPPP under a previous version of EPA’s CGP, you must update your SWPPP to ensure that the 2022 CGP requirements are addressed prior to submitting your NOI.\nIf there is more than one construction operator for your project, consider coordinating development of your SWPPP with the other operators.\nOnce EPA has provided your site with coverage under the CGP, include your NOI, your authorization email, and a copy of the CGP as attachments to the SWPPP.
