Construction (30%)  \n• Assists in the construction and installation of equipment and material related to storm water systems.  \n• Assists in the construction and installation of equipment and material related to concrete flumes, sidewalks and curbs and gutters.  \n• Assists in the construction and installation of equipment and material related to subsurface drains including mix mortar and laying block and brick.  \n• Assists in the construction and installation of erosion control preventive measures for Public Works projects.  \nB.  Maintenance (40%)  \n• Assists in the maintenance of the City’s storm drain system.  \n• Assists in the maintenance of the City’s subsurface storm drain system.  \n• Assists in the maintenance of erosion control devices on Public Works projects as needed.  \n• Assists in the maintenance of roadways, public right-of-way, sidewalks, curb and gutter and the levee flood gate maintenance program.  \n• Performs asphalt patch work as needed.  \nC. General Duties (30%)  \n• Landscapes as needed to complete public works projects to include laying sod, seeding, shrubbery, fill dirt and top soil and any other act needed to improve the appearance of a completed Public Works projects.  \n• Operates dump truck and asphalt truck as needed.  \nD.
