As part of our commitment to become better at monitoring the outcomes and impacts of our investments as a tool for advocacy, advice, policy development and case-making. \n2. As a means of assessing and tracking applicants’ work in a consistent and systematic manner. \n3. To act as the basis for funding agreements with arts organisations. \nThere are two worksheets within the AAR template, one for 2026 and one for 2027. \n• Currently receiving Strategic Funding: You must complete both the 2026 and the 2027 worksheets. \n• New applicants: You only need to complete the 2027 worksheet. \nIf you do not complete all of the relevant worksheets, your AAR may not be valid and we may not be able to assess your application. \nImportant: You must upload your AAR template as a Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc file. DO NOT convert it to a pdf file. \nThere are helpful pop-outs with instructions within the AAR template that show you to how to complete it. \nParts of the AAR template \nThe AAR template has four parts. You must complete all parts. \n• Part 1: Core expenditure and income \n• Part 2.1: Activity detail \n• Part 2.2: Financial detail \n• Part 2.3: Audience/engagement/employment/event numbers \nThe sections below will give you more information about what you need to include in each part. \nPart 1: Core expenditure and income \nCore expenditure \nCore expenditure is any day-to-day costs associated with running your core business. These may also be known as overheads, operating costs or fixed costs. \nSome examples of this kind of costs are: \n• Staff costs \n• Rent \n• Mortgage \n• Utility bills \n• Day-to-day administration costs that you must meet regardless of any specific arts activities that are happening at any given time. \nIncome not directly related to activity \nThis is any income that comes into your organisation that is not directly attributable to specific artistic activities. \nThis may be local authority grant funding, sponsorship or fundraising that you are not attributing to a particular activity but which you are setting against your overall costs. \nAny income that is not directly attributable to specific artistic activities should go here. \nWhole-time equivalent (WTE)– artists \nYou must include the whole-time equivalent hours per week that artistic staff work for your organisation. \nThe whole-time equivalent formula is:(The number of days in a week a person works) ÷ 5 \nFor example, you may have an artistic director who works 2.5 days per week. This would give a WTE of 0.5. \nUsing the formula: \n2.5 ÷ 5 = 0.5 \nFor the purpose of data collection, the term ‘artistic’ means anyone whose main role is the creation, delivery or facilitation of art. Some examples include: \n• Artistic director \n• Producer \n• Production manager \n• Visual arts technician \n• Curator editor. \nWhole-time equivalent (WTE)– non-artists \nYou must include the combined whole-time-equivalent hours per week that non-artistic staff work for your organisation. Some examples are administration, finance and marketing staff. \nFor example, you may have: \n• A full-time administrator \n• A full-time accounts person \n• A half-time marketing person. \nThis would give a combined WTE number of 2.5. \nCommunity Employment Scheme numbers \nThis is the number of individuals that you employ through the Community Employment Scheme or another scheme. \nPart 2.1: Activity data \nIn this section, you must include activities that you completed in 2026 and have planned f","cbCaibHxVcZSehfi","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaibHxVcZSehfi","pdf",214548,13,"English","# Complete your Arts Activity Report (AAR) template\n## Submission deadline and file format\n## Purpose of the AAR process\n## Worksheets and applicant requirements\n## Parts of the AAR template\n## Part 1: Core expenditure and income\n## Part 2.1: Activity data","[{\"question\":\"What is the purpose of the Arts Activity Report (AAR) process?\",\"answer\":\"It improves monitoring of investment outcomes and impacts, enables consistent assessment of applicants’ work, and provides a basis for funding agreements with arts organisations.\"},{\"question\":\"Which worksheets must applicants complete in the AAR template?\",\"answer\":\"Strategic Funding recipients must complete both the 2026 and 2027 worksheets, while New applicants typically complete only the 2027 worksheet.\"},{\"question\":\"In what format must the AAR template be uploaded?\",\"answer\":\"Upload the AAR template as a Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc file and do not convert it to PDF.\"}]","Complete your Arts Activity Report (AAR) template - Submission deadline and required worksheets | PDF",1789217224]
