However just as common is“Burnout”, when volunteers feel overwhelmed . \nAvoid role descriptions like: \nVolunteer responsible for coaching, PR & Marketing, First Aid, Grant Writing, Events, Fundraising & general dogs body. \nBreaking it down to different roles will attract different people with different skills. \n• Assess when you will need volunteers & allow sufficient time to train before required. \nRecruitment-where & how can we find volunteers? \nOnce you know the roles you need and tasks that need tobe done, prepare role descriptions. \nVolunteering Polices & Procedures \nBefore actively recruiting new volunteers, it’s a good time to get familiar with the club’s existing polices & procedures. \nMost clubs will adhere to standards set by National Governing Bodies including: \n• Coach Profiles \n• PVG Processes \n• Insurance \n• Volunteer Recruitment Process & Application Forms \nAnother useful document is a Volunteer Agreement It makes it clear what the volunteer can expect from the club and what, in turn, the club expects from the volunteer. It usually sits alongside a role description. Whilst it sets out expectations an agreement is not a legally binding contract. Therefore the style of writing should reflect that the club hopes a volunteer will act in a certain way, rather than state that they must or have to do so. As volunteer roles change over time, the agreement should be reviewed to make sure it remains relevant to what they are actually doing. \nRecruitment-where & how can we find volunteers? \nInsurance for volunteers \nMost clubs are affiliated with a National Governing Body or parents council and can get insurance via them. \nPVG-Disclosures \nThe Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme is managed and delivered by Disclosure Scotland. It helps makes sure people whose behaviour makes them unsuitable to work with children and/or protected adults, can't do 'regulated work' with these vulnerable groups. \nWho can help sport clubs with questions about PVG & Disclosures? \n• If affiliated with National Governing Body, they will have Disclosure process and procedures. \n• Members of the Sport Council for Glasgow can avail of their disclosure services. \nTel: 0141 287 3649 \nEmail: [info@scglasgow.org.uk](info@scglasgow.org.uk) \n• Visit [https://www.volunteerscotland.net/for](https://www.volunteerscotland.net/for)organisations/disclosure-services/resources/ for useful resources on PVG and disclosures or contact Volunteer Scotland staff: \nTel: 01786 849777 \nEmail: [disclosures@volunteerscotland.org.uk](disclosures@volunteerscotland.org.uk) \nRecruitment-where & how can we find volunteers? \nAdvertising for volunteers \nHistorically","cbCainOipwTyoduI","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCainOipwTyoduI","pdf",333814,"English","# Introduction\n# Recruitment - where & how can we find volunteers?\n## Planning ahead\n## Volunteering policies & procedures\n## Insurance for volunteers\n## PVG disclosures\n## Advertising for volunteers\n## Corporate volunteering\n# Motivations","[{\"question\":\"How should a community sports club plan volunteer recruitment before advertising?\",\"answer\":\"Identify the tasks volunteers will undertake, decide whether one role can be split into multiple roles, assess when volunteers are needed, and allow sufficient time to train before roles are required.\"},{\"question\":\"What documents and processes should clubs review before recruiting new volunteers?\",\"answer\":\"Become familiar with existing club policies and procedures and the standards followed through National Governing Bodies, including coach profiles, PVG processes, insurance, and the volunteer recruitment process with application forms.
