Precious metal's recent gain was spurred by hedging against trade uncertainties following US President Donald Trump's announcement of 25% tariffs on auto, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical imports. Global ETF holdings reached their highest level since January 2024, with inflows observed every week this year except one. \n An additional lift for bullion has come from the US dollar. A gauge of the currency is set for a third straight weekly loss, boosting the metal’s appeal for many buyers. \n Crude oil modestly declined last week. Oil prices have been trapped in a roughly $5 range for the past three weeks because of an uncertain outlook for supply, including increasing expectations that OPEC+ will delay a planned production increase and a drone attack that threatened Kazakh pipeline flows. At the same time, US President Donald Trump’s rapid-fire tariff actions and other policy decisions have dimmed the outlook for demand and boosted US consumers’ expectations for long-term inflation. \n Natural gas futures rose about 14% in a week as an Arctic blast increased heating demand across much of the country, while supply to LNG export facilities reached fresh highs of over 16 billion cubic feet per day. \n Most industrial metals closed the week higher. Aluminum prices rose for five straight days until Friday; the uptick was supported by a tight physical market and supply fear. Traders will now look to China's so-called Two Sessions policy meeting, which will take place next month, for any fresh stimulus that could benefit ferrous markets. \n What to Watch: In the week ahead, investors are keeping their eyes on US macro data, includingthe Fed's preferred price measure—core PCE inflation, GDP, and speeches from several Fed members. Aside from this, the German federal election is a significant event to watch this week. \nHDFC securities | Commodity Weekly| BULLION \n\n| MCX Gold Future Weekly Chart |\n| --- |\n| \u003Cbr>Res. 86580/87925 Sup. 85130/83800 |\n\n Trading Range and Strategy: Expected range for Gold Apr Fut is 85130–87925.
