These are: \nEveryone Plays \nBalanced Teams Open \nRegistration Positive \nCoaching Good \nSportsmanship Player \nDevelopment \nThe core values guiding AYSO are: \nFun for all \nEducation for all \nEthics for all \nAccessible to all \nChild and Volunteer Protection \nAYSO is committed to providing a \"child-safe\" program, where \nchildren can develop in a safe, fair, and fun environment. \nAll soccer playgrounds are KIDS zones. Parents’ Kids Zone Pledge. \nVOLUNTEERS \nEveryone in our community wants to keep our kids safe, and they should enjoy being in the AYSO Soccer Program. The organization and program execution of a quality soccer program for youth in our community requires dedication and willingness from many people. This is not just understood by AYSO but by all youth sports organizations and federal and state committees. \nAYSO volunteers are the most important group carrying responsibilities in executing the AYSO soccer program according to Policies and Protocols that have been established for the safety and enjoyment of the players, the volunteers, and the supporters. Volunteers follow the proper training and education when involved in AYSO-sanctioned events. ALL must register as volunteers every year in AYSO. \nCoaches have a direct and lasting influence on our players and indirectly on the teams’parents. They inform the team parents what the AYSO Vision and Mission are and how they will deliver soccer training. The AYSO National Coaching program is recognized by the USCCE: National Committee for Accreditation of Coaching Education (NCACE) . This is a very prestigious recognition. \nReferees have a great influence on the quality of games and are trained to keep the games fun, fair, and safe. The coach and team parents are the main resources for finding these volunteers for games. \nThe positive support from our parents, willing to come up with new ideas, suggestions, and help as a volunteer, is unquestionably needed to make your AYSO Region 73 program a success. The job of the parents is to support the coach and the volunteers and cheer for the players. \nAll volunteers in youth programs are required to take training courses and mandatory Safety courses. In AYSO, volunteers get free training. The number of courses may be a bit overwhelming for first-time volunteers at first glance, but administrators will help you through it. ASK us for help if you need it. \nCoaches & Assistant Coaches \nCodes of Conduct \nSupport all AYSO players \nAlways be positive \n Remember: Players are there to have fun. \n Reinforce Positive Behavior \n Don’t be a sideline coach or referee (PARENTS CHEER, COACHES COACH) \nMandatory Requirements for Coaches. \n• Sterling Background check, Live Scan Fingerprinting, AYSO Safe Haven, CDC Concussion Awareness, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Safe Sports. \n• Coach Training: age Division appropriate.
