Good visual representation of data saves managers a lot of time and makes it easy to make business decisions. \nBSC Designer can build charts for indicators and categories in Balanced Scorecard. If you open project in BSC Designer and select any of indicators or categories then relevant charts will be displayed. This is the short overview of each chart. \nIn the BSC Designer main window you will find small charts only. To have larger charts you should double click on the small chart. \nOptimization chart \nOptimization chart helps to understand indicator’s current performance value. The chart consists of two important elements-values and function line: \n• Three points on the diagram will show what the performance is, when the value is equal to the baseline, what the current performance is and what performance should be reached, e.g. what the performance is, when the value is equal to the target value. \n• The line is the optimization function. By default it is leaner, but user can change it according to his needs, for instance to binary function or some complex function. The function shows how the performance of indicator will change when user change the value of indicator. \n• To change the optimization function you need to select appropriate indicator in the Balanced Scorecard, select “Editor” option in the Optimization drop list. \nPie Chart \nThe Pie Chart shows the relevant performance of each indicator in the selected category. It is useful to find out what indicators are doing well and what need more attention: \nWeight Chart \nWeight chart shows the absolute weight of indicators. \n• Absolute weight is the weight of indicator that takes in account the absolute weight of indicator’s parent categories and the relevant weight of the indicator. In other words absolute weight shows how the indicator affects the total performance of the balanced scorecard in comparison to other indicators. \nGauge Chart \nGauge chart is a visual representation of indicator’s current value, baseline and target values. \nBaseline is shown as red arrow, current value is shown as a large arrow, and target value is shown as a black arrow. \nMoreover, the scale of gauge diagram is colored according to stop lights color scheme. \nDiamond Chart \nDiamond chart also known as “Radar” chart. It is a visual representation for the indicators’ value, baseline and target values. The diagram is useful to find the best or worth performing indicators in the category. \nTime Chart \nTime Chart shows changes of categories’ indicators’ values over time. \n• In case of indicator the diagram shows the changes of value, baseline and target line. \n• In case of category the chart shows the changes of category performance and performance values equal to baseline and target state of indicators. \nRisk Chart \nRisk chart is a special type of chart designed exclusively for risk indicators. This chart shows the impact and probability of risk. The background of the chart is colored according to stop-lights color scheme. \nHide charts that you don’t need \nIf you don’t need some of the charts in the BSC Designer’s toolbar then you can right click on any chart and turn-off the visibility option for any chart. \nDashboard View \nThe BSC Designer software can be switched to the Dashboard view, where all supported charts will be shown. \nIn order to switch to the “Dashboard” view you need to click on the “Dashboard” tab at the bottom of the window. The “Dashboard” view is great visualization mean that will help to analyze indicator’s data quickly.","cbCaicKCi0h3VhEz","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaicKCi0h3VhEz","pdf",417526,6,"English","# Charts in BSC Designer\n## Core chart interactions and views\n## Optimization chart\n## Pie chart\n## Weight chart\n## Gauge chart\n## Diamond (Radar) chart\n## Time chart\n## Risk chart\n## Hiding unused charts and using Dashboard view","[{\"question\":\"How do you view larger charts in BSC Designer?\",\"answer\":\"BSC Designer first shows small charts.
