A couple of things to know: \n• The Record Type Select picklist is dynamically generated to only display options available to the user’s profile \n• While Field Set customizations honor Record Type picklist values, it currently does not honorspecific page layouts assigned to the Profile. We recommend the following three rules of thumb: \n• Display the lowest common denominator fields on Campaign Calendar that comply to your security rules \n• Institute a process to leverage the Full Campaign Details button to make additional edits \n• Apply Field Level Security to further enforce permissions \nHelp us vote up an Idea to Salesforce to help us provide the ability to more accurately support Record Type, Page Layouts and Field Sets. \n4 \nVote here: [https://sites.secure.force.com/success/ideaView?c=09a30000000D9xt&id=08730000000BrQtAAK](https://sites.secure.force.com/success/ideaView?c=09a30000000D9xt&id=08730000000BrQtAAK) \nFIELD LEVEL SECURITY \nIf you need further customization than Field Sets can provide, consider using Field Level Security to further control your Campaign Calendar page layout. \nFor every field on the Campaign Calendar Field Set, you can set field level permissions by profile. Remember these field level permissions apply not only in the Campaign Calendar but also in the Campaigns tab and Campaign reports. \n• Example: You could add the Actual Cost field to your Campaign Calendar Field Set, and have the following field level permissions set: \n‣ Hidden to Sales Profile \n‣ Visible to Marketing Profile \n‣ Editable by System Administrators \nFor organizations using Record Types this is a great intermediary solution to providing additional security and permissions to Campaign Calendar that are not innately available in Salesforce. \n5 \nLEARN MORE Check it out in the Salesforce AppExchange. \n[http://bit.ly/campcal](http://bit.ly/campcal) \nCONTACT US Questions? 303.578.6520 \n[sales@bracketlabs.com](sales@bracketlabs.com)","cbCaing58ejGf3Uj","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaing58ejGf3Uj","pdf",330607,"English","# Campaign Calendar default layout\n## Field set customization\n# Custom layout\n## Record type selection\n# Field level security","[{\"question\":\"What is Field Sets in Campaign Calendar?\",\"answer\":\"Field Sets lets administrators add, remove, or reorder fields in Campaign Calendar without modifying any code.\"},{\"question\":\"How does Campaign Calendar handle record type selection?\",\"answer\":\"When campaign record types are enabled, Campaign Calendar injects an intermediary screen to choose the user’s record type from a dynamically generated picklist based on the user profile.\"},{\"question\":\"How can permissions be controlled beyond Field Sets?\",\"answer\":\"Use Field Level Security to set field-level permissions by profile, which apply in Campaign Calendar, the Campaigns tab, and campaign reports.\"}]","Campaign Calendar Field Sets - Customizing with Field Sets Guide | PDF",1789242693]
