This is an amazing opportunity for students to see God’s work in a different country, culture and language. Along the way they will experience elements of Cambodian History including the beauty of Angkor Wat and the tragedy of the Killing Fields. \nPrimarily the students will witness the work of our partners in Cambodia as they seek to build God’s Kingdom in both the cities and countryside of this nation. As a school we would like to invite you to participate in this mission trip through prayer and resources. \nProjects that we will see and support while in Cambodia include: \nAssisting Children to School. \nThis project gives Cambodian children the best chance of becoming all that God created them to be. Children are supported in various ways to participate in a full education close to home. \nWater and Sanitation. Many Cambodians do not have clean, consistent access to water and often have limited access to good sanitation. This results in poor health outcomes, which in turn can mean children do not get to school and their physical growth and educational progress is delayed. \nBe free. This is an initiative that seeks to empower women to “Be free” from exploitation and human trafficking. Elim Cambodia has seen many girls and women established back in their community having successfully completed the programme. \nThe Hope Centre. This is the hub of Asian Outreach’s work in Stung Treng and the base for our team in our first week. They have asked if we could provide them with some laptops to further their work training young people in Microsoft Office and Google platforms. Any donations of laptops can be handed in to the MAC office before the end of the term. \nThank you to the Year 12 christian living class for holding a bake sale during the Whānau Evening and to everyone who supported this. This effort saw a tremendous $764.70 raised. \nMt Albert Campus will be having a mufti day for all students next Friday 31st March. A $2 charge will be loaded onto accounts through the portal. All money raised will be put towards the mission trip. \nIf you would like to make a donation to the Cambodia Mission, please use the following account: Elim Christian College BOT \n02-0100-0357672-000-use the reference Cambodia Donation \n(This donation will not be eligible for a donation receipt as it is being collected on behalf of the school to an outside organisation. ) \nThank you for your support and prayers for the trip, Craig Scott \nMissions Lead","cbCaitawpvpBkpvQ","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitawpvpBkpvQ","pdf",776428,"English","# Mission trip overview\n## Target participants and purpose\n## Partner projects to support\n## Fundraising requests and updates\n## Donation instructions","[{\"question\":\"When is the Cambodia mission trip, and who will travel?\",\"answer\":\"The team travels from April 13 to 28, with six students and two staff going to support partners in Cambodia.\"},{\"question\":\"Which projects will the team assist while in Cambodia?\",\"answer\":\"The team will support assisting children to school, water and sanitation work, the “Be free” initiative for women affected by exploitation and trafficking, and The Hope Centre’s training activities.\"},{\"question\":\"How can parents donate, and what reference should be used?\",\"answer\":\"Donations are made to Elim Christian College BOT using the reference “Cambodia Donation”; the letter also notes it will not be eligible for a donation receipt because it is collected on behalf of the school for an outside organisation.\"}]","Cambodia Mission Trip Fundraising Letter | PDF",1789534539]
