Photo by Janelle Wilborne  \nI-95 CRASH KILLS COACH  \nPolice seek identity of driver that caused fatality  \nBY ALEX MITCHELL  \nPolice continue to search for a hit and run driver that took the life of a Cardinal Spellman High School cheerleading coach and mother of three from Pelham Bay.  \nMichelle Muccio, 44, was driving south on I-95 near Gun Hill Road with her 16-year-old daughter Francesca, around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 when a speeding vehicle abruptly cut in front of her.  \nThe erratic maneuver sent Muccio’s 2004 GMC Envoy to spin out, flipping over the road’s metal guardrail, and continuing to roll over several times.  \nMichelle was partially ejected from the vehicle and did not survive the impact.  \nFrancesca escaped with  \nonly minor injuries. She was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center and has now returned to her family.  \nHer last words to her mother were “Mom be careful” just before the crash.  \n“It was bad and they knew it,” said Domenick Muccio, Michelle’s father-in-law.  \n“Her mother had fallen on top of her and my granddaughter had to crawl out of the window,” he added.  \nMichelle and Francesca were returning from a fundraiser at Cardinal Spellman, where Michelle often dedicated much of her time as a cheerleading coach.  \n“The kids thought of heras their other mother. She helped the school whenever she was needed,” said Spellman’s principal Dan-  \niel O’Keefe. “This is a loss for Spellman, for the Bronx and all of New York City,” he added.  \nThe school held a special Mass on Monday commemorating Michelle’s life.  \nDomenick recalled that when the Spellman cheer squad had qualified for nationals in Florida, their flights had been cancelled due to a blizzard.  \n“She had two buses therein no time, she wasn’t going to let anything stop them, just like that, they drove down to Florida in a blizzard,” said Domenick.  \nEarlier in the day, Michelle was in midtown Manhattan for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, where the Spell  \nContinued on Page 74  \nUS Attorney joins IRT 6 elevator suit  \nBY SARAH VALENZUELA  \nThe MTA was under fire for an item it left out of its renovation of a train station in Pelham Bay.  \nOn Tuesday, March 13, U. S. Attorney, Geoffrey S. Berman announced the filing of an official complaint in a lawsuit against the Metropolitan Transit Authority and the New York City Transit Authority.  \nThe complaint, filed in Manhattan Federal Court, under an existing class action that disability rights advocates filed against the MTA in 2016, charges that the agency  \nfailed to install an elevator.  \nThe US Department of Justice alleged the MTA violatied Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act for failure to install an elevator at the Middletown Road station after its renovations were completed in May 2014.  \nCosmetic updates and upgrades to the IRT 6 train station started in October 2013.  \nThe renovations received praise by the community and the MTA and included replacement of everything from floors and walls to stairs and lighting, but did not include a device for the handicapped.  \nAs it stands, there are only two IRT 6 train stations in the Bronx with elevators, Pelham Bay Park and Hunts Point Avenue.  \n“There is no justification for public entities to ignore the requirements of the ADA 28 years after its passage,”said Berman in a statement.  \nAccording to the suit, the U. S.
