Start a project for yourself and start Blending! \nHere are some useful settings I like to change but feel free to use the defaults . \nGo to Edit – Preferences – Navigation: \nPut a check mark in \"Zoom to mouse position\" \nThis lets you zoom to the position of the cursor on screen in the 3D view. \nPut a check mark in \"Orbit around selection\" \nThis lets you rotate around the selected object in the 3D view \nIn the bottom left corner click the three line icon and ensure\"Auto-save preferences\" is checked. This will save any changes you make. \nEssentials \nIt is recommended, and to get full interface integration use a three button mouse , preferably with a scroll wheel as the centre button. \nBlender will work most efficiently for you with one hand on your three button mouse and the other on a keyboard. \nBelow are some of the most commonly used short cut key combinations. \nAbbreviations \nLLB (Left Mouse Button) \nMMB (Middle Mouse Button) \nRMB (Right Mouse Button) . \nIn most instances select with LMB and cancel with RMB. Usually when you buy a new high tech product you unpack it, then straight away open the user manual and read it as you try out all the buttons! Yeah more like “what? there’s amanual?”. The best way I found to learn new keys in Blender has been to try out every combination listed below. Just open up Blender and start working through them a couple of times, you’ll be amazed at what you discover. \nThese are the shortcut keys I use regularly and are by no means a complete list and I'm sure there are some great ones I have yet to discover. \nMiddle Mouse Button (MMB) Combinations \nMMB + Hold + Drag – Rotates the 3D View —Drag the Editors Up/Down/Left/right \nMMB Roll – Zooms in and Out in the 3D View—Rolls menus Up/Down \nMMB + Shift— Pan \nMMB + CTRL + Drag—Zooms \nMMB + Alt + Left click and Drag in one direction—Switch Views \nLeft Mouse Button (LMB) Combinations \nLMB Click—Selects and Confirms Actions \nLMB Click + Drag—Box Selects (When Select Box is the Selection Type) \nRight Mouse Button (RMB) Combinations RMB + Shift—Place 3D Cursor \nRMB + CTRL—Lasso Select \nRMB—With an Object Selected Bring up an Object Context Menu \nRMB—Cancels an Operation \n\n| Keys | Descriptio | Mode | |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| | n | | |\n| Ctrl +Tab | Mode Menu | All | |\n| Tab | Switch Mode | Object/Ed | it |\n| Home | Centre 3D View | All | |\n| Delete | Delete An Object | All | |\n| Spacebar | Play Animation | All | |\n| Full Stop | Pivot Menu | All | |\n| Numpad / | Local/Global View | All | |\n| ' | View Pie Menu | All | |\n| Minus | Zoom Out | All | |\n| Ctrl + Minus | Decrease Selection | Edit | |\n| Plus | Zoom In | All | |\n| Ctrl + Plus | Increase Selection | Edit | |\n| Shift Hold | Precise Incremental Changes | Object/Ed | it |\n| Shift + 7 | Align to Selected | Edit | |\n| Shift + Tab | Snap During | Object/Ed | it |\n\n\n| Keys | Descriptio | Mode | |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| | n | | |\n| Transform | | | |\n| Shift + Spacebar | Tool Shelf Menu | All | |\n| Shift + Ctrl + Spacebar | Reverse Play/Pause Animation | All | |\n| Ctrl + Spaceba | r Full Screen | All | |\n| Ctrl + Alt + A | Align Bones | Edit | |\n| Ctrl + ' | Fly Mode Control Keys (w,\u003Cbr>s, d,, a) | All | |\n| Ctrl + Alt + Spacebar | Full View | All | |\n| Ctrl + Alt + Q | Quad View | All | |\n| Ctrl + Alt + LM | B Edge Ring Select | Edit | |\n| Alt + LMB | Edge Select | Edit | |\n| 1 | Vertex Selection | Edit | |\n| 2 | Edge Selection | Edit | |\n| 3 | Face Selection | Edit | |\n\n\n| A-Z | | |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| ","cbCaiucd3Qd4OBRu","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiucd3Qd4OBRu","pdf",129019,"English","# Essentials\n## Navigation Preferences\n# Mouse Button Combinations\n## MMB Combinations\n## LMB Combinations\n## RMB Combinations\n# Common Shortcut Keys (A-Z)\n## A-Z Commands","[{\"question\":\"Why are navigation and interface preferences recommended in this guide?\",\"answer\":\"The guide recommends enabling options such as “Zoom to mouse position” and “Orbit around selection,” and checking “Auto-save preferences” to make interaction smoother and preserve changes automatically.\"},{\"question\":\"How do you rotate or zoom in the 3D view using the middle mouse button?\",\"answer\":\"Use MMB + Hold + Drag to rotate the 3D view, MMB Roll to zoom in and out and roll menus, and MMB + Ctrl + Drag to zoom.\"},{\"question\":\"What are some frequently used A-Z shortcuts for selecting and editing?\",\"answer\":\"Examples include A to select, Shift + A to open the Add Menu, B for box select, E for extrude, and G for move.
