Enhancements can be small and need not be directly linked to new construction, but must be located on land within the red or blue line to deliver a net biodiversity benefit. The form outlines suitable measures and collects feature types, illustrations or descriptions, installation locations, and a marked plan with photos, sketches, or annotated site plans.","In order to comply with Policy 1 of the Brecon Beacons Local Development Plan (2013) and Section 6 of the Environment (Wales) Act 2016, the Authority requires that proposed developments include details of biodiversity enhancement measures.  These don’t need to be costly or large in scale, and, for example, could include measures such as the installation of bird boxes, insect boxes or the planting of native shrubs or flowers suitable for bees and other pollinations in the garden.\nThe enhancements do not need to be directly attached to the proposed new construction; they can be attached to the host dwelling or placed within the garden, but they do need to be on land within the red or blue line. The principle is that the enhancements should lead to a ‘net benefit’ for biodiversity.\nThe BBNPA has produced a document to provide advice on suitable enhancements:\nGUIDANCE ON BIODIVERSITY ENHANCEMENT IN THE BRECON BEACONS NATIONAL PARK\nThis outlines a range of measures that you could consider (although some of them may not be suitable in your case). Below is a form to complete with the relevant information.  Please consider what would be suitable for you and complete and return the completed form.\nPlease Note:\nShould your planning application be approved, this document will be referred to as part of the Planning Conditions attached to your Notification Letter.  Please complete clearly and with sufficient information.\nFor small scale development (e.g. householder applications), two enhancement features are usually considered to be sufficient. These can be two of the same type or two different types.\nIt is advisable not to purchase (or make) the proposed features or to install them until they are agreed with / approved by the BBNPA.\nGuidance notes for completing the following form:\nBiodiversity enhancements to be installed\nState the number and type of features you propose; for example, 1 x round hole nest box and 1 x bat box\nIllustration/description of proposed enhancement(s)\nPlease insert an example photo/drawing of enhancement features if appropriate.  This can be taken from the internet and will specify the type of boxes to be installed or proposals for native-species planting.\nDescription of the proposed location(s) of enhancement(s)\nPlease provide information on where you plan to install the enhancement feature(s), including details as appropriate e.g. for bird/insect/bat boxes: height from ground, aspect/direction it will face, what the measure will be attached/located under/located beside, for planting: location of planting and species.\nPlan of proposed location(s) of enhancements\nPlease show with photos and/or diagrams where the enhancement is to be installed, with location clearly marked.  A simple sketch (hand-drawn) of the site or annotations on an existing site plan should be sufficient. Annotated photographs are also helpful. These can be included in the form or attached separately.\nBIODIVERSITY ENHANCEMENT SCHEME FOR:\nBiodiversity enhancement(s) to be installed:\nIllustration/description of proposed enhancement(s):\nDescription of the proposed location of enhancement(s):\nPlan of intended location(s) of enhancement(s):","cbCaiuWNaG4tX5CJ","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiuWNaG4tX5CJ","docx",22787,2,"English","en",105,"# Biodiversity enhancement requirements\n## Net benefit principle and site boundaries\n# Guidance on completing the form\n## Biodiversity enhancements to be installed\n## Illustration or description of enhancements\n## Location of enhancements\n## Plan of intended locations\n# Scheme summary fields","[{\"question\":\"What biodiversity enhancement details must be included with a proposed development?\",\"answer\":\"The authority requires details of biodiversity enhancement measures, including the number and type of features, an illustration/description, the installation locations, and a plan showing where they will be installed.\"},{\"question\":\"Does the enhancement need to be attached to the new construction?\",\"answer\":\"No. Enhancements do not need to be directly attached to the proposed new construction;
