The fees can be billed weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, or in any frequency you want. \nYou have the ability to bill by either: \n1. Manually bill a fee by entering an account with the fee balance and split the payments as needed \n2. Manually add a forever recurring fee by entering an account with a recurring payment amount \n3. Automatically add fee accounts that apply to sets of clients using the Payment Schedule template \n4. Billing for items and hourly services using the Billing section in the Task Each type is explained in detail in each section below. \nFixed Fee Creditor Configuration \nTo bill a fee you first need to create a creditor that has a Creditor Type of type Internal/Fee. In Creditor Types, you can review the ones marked as Internal/Fee or add your own type: \nMake sure the type you choose or add has: \n• Internal/Fee: Checked \n• Show in Creditor Dropdown: Checked \n• Default Bill/Deduct: Do Not Contribute (Important as this setting is only used for external creditors) \nThen choose or add a creditor with that creditor type. \nMake sure the creditor is: Active: Checked \nNot Approved: Unchecked \nGeneric: Unchecked \nCreditor Type: Pick the one you chose or added that is Internal/Fee Show on Enrollment: Checked (so it appears on the lead side) \nManually bill a fixed-amount fee to the client by entering an account \nWhen to use \nIf you need to bill an ad-hoc fee (i.e. the balance and payment amount is different per client) and don't need it linked to a task. \nHow to use \nYou will follow these steps to bill a fee: \n• Open the client screen and click on the Accounts tab \n• Click Add Account \n• Select the fee creditor you added \n• Enter the amount you want to bill in the Balance field \n• Enter the amount the client should pay every payment in the Regular Pmt field \nOnce you add the fee, you will see it in the Account List and the Payment Schedule. \nCharging a one-time fee before other fees \nIf you need to charge a fee before others there are three ways to do it: \n1. Using the Payment Schedule Template \n2. Manually updating the Payment Schedule \n3. Using the Current Payment vs Default Payment fields \nThe last one is the easiest. But the first one is the most automated and reliable. \nUsing the Payment Schedule Template \nYou can configure a Payment Schedule template with 2 stages. A one-time fee stage that only has one entry and a regular payment stage that repeats forever based on the frequency desired (weekly, monthly, etc..) . \nYou would use the “Default Creditors” tab to add your different and then specify the amounts there to use for each stage. \nManually updating the Payment Schedule \nEven if your payment schedule template is a simple one-stage template, you can still override the amounts of individual payment points. \nIn this case you would edit the first point and use the Promised (Override) column to plug in your desired payment amounts: \nUsing the Current Payment vs the Default Payment \nWhen adding the fee, you can set it the Regular Pmt field to 0 to prevent the fee from getting paid atthe beginning. Once another account or fee is paid, then the amount used for that fee will be reallocated to the 0 fee (rollover) . \nTo use this method you would configure the first fee to “rollover” and the second fee to “accept payments from rollovers”. \nA fool-proof method is to leave these two boxes unchecked: Reduce Payment Upon Payoff – Unchecked \nReject Funds From Payoffs – Unchecked \nIn the Accounts Tab, you can define which account has the first priority, and funds will trickle down to the lower priority accounts once the higher priority accounts are paid. \nYou can confirm that the payments will rollover the way you want by running the Forecast on the Payment Schedule: \nForever Recurring Fee Creditor Configuration \nTo bill forever recurring fees, add o","cbCainMLYDZMZTMR","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCainMLYDZMZTMR","pdf",1038335,"English","# How to bill fees to clients\n## Overview\n## Fixed Fee Creditor Configuration\n## When to use\n## How to use\n## Charging a one-time fee before other fees\n## Using the Payment Schedule Template\n## Manually updating the Payment Schedule\n## Using the Current Payment vs Default Payment\n## Forever Recurring Fee Creditor Configuration\n## Manually add a forever recurring fee\n## When to use","[{\"question\":\"What fee billing frequencies are supported in the application?\",\"answer\":\"Fees can be billed weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, or any frequency you want.\"},{\"question\":\"How do you configure a creditor to bill a fixed-amount fee?\",\"answer\":\"Create a creditor with Creditor Type set to Internal/Fee, ensure Internal/Fee and Show in Creditor Dropdown are checked, and set Default Bill/Deduct to Do Not Contribute.
